We spent two nights here in July 2005, and found it very good. The manager was really kind, and if you ask him, he will advise you on places to visit in the area.

Good points. Great location close to Inverness. Lovely setting on sea shore. Shop has basics.
Bad Points. Limited toilets/showers - needs upgrading. Shop expensive. Site has 40+ caravans / statics with people living in them. They do not interfere with your holiday, but some vans would not look out of place on a building site. I did not like the feeling of having a holiday next door to someone living on the cheap.

Lovely camping, with the chance to see owls, and close to the town. The owner is really very kind, and even speaks French [This review was written in French].
The showers are free, but not in an especially good state in the ladies. On the other hand, in the men's it was very good, as the floor had been totally relaid.
The toilets were clean.
Take a torch with you, as it was not well lit, but in itself, this is not a fault.
There are several wooden tables for picnicking, which is great.
The site was very good for tents.

We stayed 4 nights in April 2010.
Good location for Inverness.
Clean campsite, and clean toilets. Showers were a bit Spartan, quite perfectly adequate.
There are indeed people who live there all year, but that's not a problem. There are even some chalets that are decorated very prettily.
Playground, with solidly built swings for the children.
Nice new picnic tables spread around the site.
Lovely view of the sea, and of the bridge at Inverness at night.

Nice campsite, really close to Inverness (10-15 minutes to the town centre), which makes it a strategic base for exploring the area (Loch Ness, Nairn, Elgin, etc).
Campers with tents pitch close to the Beauly Firth, with a pretty view.
The owner is friendly, and he runs a mini-shop for emergencies.
One nice touch: in the shop, there's a big wall map, and campers can place a pin to show where they're from.
The showers are free, and in a good state (they must have been renovated since the older reviews I've read here) but not numerous.
The toilets were clean and adequate.
Playground for the children.
For 2 adults and a child in a tent, we paid £18.50 per night.
There is WiFi, whicg costs £3 for the whole of your stay, be it one night or several.
