We visited the site in June of 02, plenty of space, great views, with a path leading from the campsite to Caerfai bay. Friendly staff, with the farm shop selling organic produce (delicious pork and leek sausages), just a minute away. The showers are really hot so be careful, it probably didn't help that we had sunburn! Good dishwashing facilities. A very good supermarket in St Davids, and tourist info just up the road.

We visited around the August bank holiday weekend when the site was fully booked. Marked pitches meant that we were never crowded and were allocated a pitch which was reasonably level with stunning views across St Brides Bay. If you are in a tent, you should be aware that some of the pitches are on fairly significant slopes, particularly in the third field, furthest from the entrance. In addition, some pitches were a little close to the toilet block in the second field.

The toilet/shower blocks and washing facilities were a little stretched in this busy week, but were regularly cleaned, and adequate for our family of 5.

The city of St Davids is within walking distance, and the Pembrokeshire coast path runs by the entrance to the site if you want to walk further afield. The best beach is Whitesands.

In augustus 2004 bezocht ik Caerfai Bay met mijn twee tieners. Ik vond de locatie van de camping, die helemaal volgeboekt was, prachtig. Het uitzicht op de zee is schitteren, ofschoon er weinig beschutting is tegen de wind! Het is erg dicht bij het strand van Caerfai (steil pad naar het strand) en het Pembrokeshire Kustpad, wat een fantastische pad is op 10 minuten richting St. Davids met een goede supermarkt en verschillende café's.

Er zijn 3 velden - de achterste zijn voor tenten zonder electrische aansluiting - sommige liggen op een lichte helling. Faciliteiten zijn goed. Soms was er een korte rij voor de douches in de ochtend. Het nieuwe doucheblok bij de entree was het beste, maar een heel stuk lopen 's nachts! De toiletten die dichterbij waren, waren een stuk ouder, maar voldoende.

Het is de moeite waar om voor een croissant in de rij te gaan staan. De winkel heeft voldoende, melk, kaas etc. bij de ingang van de camping.

Wij kunnen de camping aanbevelen.

We visited this site for 4 nights in July 2006 - during the heatwave. It was absolutely lovely. We had a tent in the 3rd field and took our 8 month baby and 2 dogs.

The views across the bay/coast line are stunning. The facilities were much better than I expected. There are showers; family rooms (with baby changing facilities) and they are all maintained to a very clean standard. There is a wetsuit cleaning room, a washroom (for pots and pans) and waste disposal is maintained well too - so no mess near the bins. Tip - get up early to shower (7.30/7.45AM), or be prepared to queue a little.

There are also laundry facilities.

I think this site attracts many regulars back every year. It has a lovely, relaxed, family feel to it. The kids can enjoy themselves flying kites, playing frisbee etc. When it gets dark, there is no rowdiness - it all gets peaceful very quickly and you get a great sense that everyone at the campsite has respect for the site and its other occupants.

Pitches are marked with good space to set up your tent, so you are never too squashed up next to your neighbour. We were lucky and on a flat piece of land - though I did see some tents on a bit of a slope.

You are able to hire iceboxes/packs at 10p each per day.

We will definitely revisit in July 2007. The views did it for me, plus the relaxed atmosphere - and of course, the lovely St David's is only 15 mins walk away, or 5 mins in the car (if you drive down the steep hill past the cathedral, there is a park and ride bus that will take you to the heart of it all - for those that can't face the 5 minute walk back up the steep hill!).

Pebbles Yard cafe is lovely - do visit their little shop which has some gorgeous kids toys and bits and pieces in - you can sit outside when its sunny or upstairs on comfy sofas listening to relaxing music if the weather is not so good.
