Quiet rural site close to Birmingham. It could be good but was disappointing for me.

Medium sized site run by Camping and Caravan Club, accepts non-members. Some pitches rather small.

Lack of assistant warden showed in some areas of site maintenance - I saw overflowing bins, some pitches (mine being one) had fairly long grass other areas had large amounts of cuttings showing that the grass had been left too long before cutting.

One modern toilet block - extra toilets in reception block locked. Three cubicles in gents. The type of shower fitted is usually excellent but someone had fitted the head incorrectly making the one I used closer to a tap than a shower. Plenty of pegs. Single private washing cubicle.

Three domestic size washing up sinks indoors. Fitted too low as usual.

On site facilities: Normal C&CC facilities.

Plenty of walks over several different hills in the Clent Hills group. All routes to the hills from the campsite start out in narrow country lanes but thankfully these had little traffic.

It's worth hiring a folder of maps of walks from the warden.

We zijn in april 2004 op camping Clent Hills geweest. We hebben twee kinderen van zeven en elf. Zij namen hun fietsen mee en hadden veel plezier om ermee rond de camping te rijden. De beheerders waren erg behulpzaam en heetten ons bijzonder welkom. Ze gaven ons een folder met zes wandelingen in verschillende moeilijkheidsgradaties. We hebben er twee gelopen; een van tien en een van 6 km. We konden onze ogen niet geloven dat je vanaf het topje van de heuvel over de Worcestershire en de Malverns. We wandelden tot de kroeg in de stad, waar ze een variëteit aan bieren en wijnen hadden. Het was een beetje aan de dure kant, maar het koele Guinness ging er goed in. Al met al een prima camping als je van rust houd en veel wandelen.

We visited this site July 2006,we found the staff extremely pleasant and helpful. This is a small and quiet site, so much so that a planned overnight stop turned into a 4 day break, will definitely be visiting again.

I have just come back from my second week of staying at this site. All I can say is what a fantastic site; you're so close yet seem worlds apart from the city. The walks and views were amazing and close enough to local amenities.

The managers of the site made us feel so welcome and really took the time to talk and help us with anything we needed. The site was kept clean and tidy and was a real pleasure to the eye. The managers work very hard and long hours and take the time to get to know the campers, and if they had any problems they were only too happy to help.

I had a very relaxing time at the site and my kids loved it there, they were safe and entertained the whole time.
