Went to Cawood for the weekend in Nov 2006, just my husband, myself and with another couple who are friends, we left the kids at home as we wanted a relaxing carefree weekend.
The site was very good, toilets really clean and well taken care of, showers hot and clean.
Had 2 really enjoyable nights in the club with a singer on, on the Saturday night.
A really nice pub just down the road 'The Ryther Arms' do an excellent meal but would advise you book.
You can hire DVDs from the reception and can order takeaways to be delivered to the club house.
Had a very good weekend here and will definitely be returning when we can get away without the kids.
Not really suitable for kids as they have to go from the club at 9pm.

We went to this campsite in February half term. We had a brand new caravan and awning. When we got there it was not full but we were put in a little offshoot that was little more than a ploughed field, although the rest of the site was grassed. We had to carry our small grandaughter to and from the awning and the car. Later in the week lots of people came and were given the grassy spots. Unless you are a regular and have no children, keep away !

My husband and I went to Cawood with two friends in 2007. We went mainly for the fishing, which was superb. The site is lovely and the owners were really friendly; so much so we are going back this year; really looking forward to it.

A quiet site with a well-stocked lake for the fishermen. The club house is only open on a Friday & Saturday they have very good entertainment. During the busy season the club opens through the week.
The site and toilet block are kept clean and tidy all the time. The staff were very helpful and friendly and help you all that they can and so were the regular caravanners who have been going for years.
There is not a lot for young children to do but you have Selby 4 miles away and York 8 miles away so you can go out for the day as it is very good shopping for everybody. I will definitely be going back to Cawood Park.

Bedenk dat de meeste mensen sneller iets schrijven over klachten, dan wanneer ze complimenten willen geven over goede service.

We booked for New Year's Eve party, tickets were £18 each including top singer, DJ & bubbly. It was like something out of Peter Kay's paradise club? The owners closed the bar at 11.50 for 20 minutes & all went celebrating upstairs by themselves. There was no countdown, I think they just left a tape running. We had no bubbly & we left shortly after only to find we had no electric on, & was like that until 11am New Year's Day. After complaining the owners just didn't seem to care. This used to be a top site but not any more. Also be aware as they are carrying out extensive building work.
