Rather an expensive campsite compared with others I have visited in Scotland. Pitches for tents at the edge of the loch, with a pretty view over the loch and the surrounding mountains. The toilet/shower block closest to the tents has been condemned (and clearly for a long time), so you have to go to the remaining block, where there are just two showers, even though there are 200 pitches on site - not at all practical, and there were queues in the morning. In my opinion, the facilities did not seem to come up to the price.

Excellent campsite. Stables staff friendly and helpful with well cared for horses. The train was also friendly with the driver chatting happily to my train mad son without getting bothered by him. The beach needs supervision for children and young teenagers, as the current is extremely strong with large waves. But the lifeguards are vigilant and speak a variety of languages. The campsite was clean and plenty to keep the children amused, we only saw them when they wanted money or to eat.
