Hevingham Lakes is a very rural site, surrounding some small fishing lakes. Plenty of shade and shelter from trees, though the trees and water do attract flying beasties!

On-site facilities consist of one small toilet block, shared with non-resident fishermen, with one shower per gender. Despite the tatty appearance, the showers worked well (20p charge). One double sink for dish and clothes washing - hot water 20p again

We've been there 3 times now, just as a base for visiting in the area, and it's fine for that.

Pitches are free-for-all and all on grass, and I don't think any have power. Most ground is reasonably level, but a bit lumpy.

As a family of four with two small children, we've been going to this site for a number of years. Fishing is good, and accommodation on site in my opinion is very good. There is an excellent atmosphere, and everyone is very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for peace and quiet as well as good fishing, this is the place to go.

We found this site and it was just what we were looking for! My husband loved the fishing and the location. We had one week, and took our daughter for another week (15 yrs - she loved it too!) I took some amazing photographs.

Lovely, quiet, and extremely friendly! Owners need to look at re-stocking fish though!

Has deteriorated in recent years, so the locals and regular visitors said.

I've been going to Hevingham Lakes for 6 years in a row now. The surroundings are breathtaking, everyone is very friendly and always offer advice on how to catch decent fish. The last 2 years the weather has been dire for mid July, but not even this could spoil my week. A truly fantastic 7 days of peaceful, unspoilt countryside, great fishing and a few cold beers of course. Marvellous!

If you want a great holiday go here. The site is quiet and the fishing is great. The welcome from owner is second to none. You are near the city for shopping days but you will be looking out your window at kingfishers, deer, and rabbits

My family have been coming here for over 25 years, and I have been almost every year since I was born. We love it. It’s so peaceful and quiet and brilliant for fishing. Close to facilities, only a car journey away! We are going again in June.
