This site is part of a 'country park' which is open to day visitors. The site has a residential park, touring field, and three rally fields. My visits have, until recently, all been to the rally fields, as part of a scout family camp, but in May 2001, the scout camp was cancelled, so we went with a couple of friends to the touring field. There are two children's playgrounds, shared with day visitors. The rally fields are just fields. The nearest toilet block is probably 1/4 mile away, but has recently been renovated. The showers are even further, on the touring field. There's no power on the rally fields, but there is drinking water. The touring field is better equipped. It has its own toilet/shower/dishwashing block, which is well maintained. Hot water is all free. There are no washing machines or dryers. Some pitches have power. All are on grass, with only a trivial slope. The park is well used by day visitors, which can make it crowded on a bank holiday or sunny weekend. However, they don't venture into the touring field which is fairly well hidden. The on-site shop is pretty poor, unless you want an ice cream, but Olney village is less than a mile away, with quite adequate supermarket, fish & chips, and other shops. The park also houses a sailing club, with its own lake, and a public lake on which you can take boats, canoes, windsurfers etc. They do not allow soft-bottomed boats, or power boats. The lake is also used for fishing.
