Breck Farm is a small but very friendly campsite on a working grain farm. It is along a quiet country lane about a mile from the major holiday park of Kelling Heath. It is sheltered, quiet, level with mown lawns. There is a small toilet block with a shower and water points. The farmhouse (owners very helpful) runs a small shop for essentials. There are good walks from and around the site. There is a wonderful pub in nearby Bodham. The North Norfolk steam railway runs about one mile away and the coast is about 3 miles to the north. This is a peaceful site with adequate facilities and lots to do around.

The description by Kevin Tilley may be a little out of date. We visited August Bank Holiday 2003. The farmer had turned a very large field over to tents/caravans, which became very crowded. I estimated about 100 pitches. For this number the facilities were woefully inadequate. 2 ladies loos, 1 gents plus very smelly urinals, 1 ladies shower, 1 gents shower, all rather primitive and grotty. Low water pressure led to real problems during peak times.

Having said that, the site is well situated, level and good for walks, cycling, steam train rides etc. Also very cheap. Owner was very friendly and helpful, but shouldn't really have allowed quite so many people on the site. May be worth considering out of peak periods.

Lovely campsite with a very helpful and kind farmer. Facilities for loo not perfect but the site was great for camping. Will return again.

Visited for the 2nd time over the May bank holiday 2005, and due to return for a weeks holiday over the August bank holiday in a weeks time. As you can expect over the May bank holiday it was very busy, but still managed to get a pitch with electric hook up. Things had changed quite dramatically since our last visit, the camping had been moved to the back of the farm and the front field is left for Rallys. There was also a new shower/toilet block added to the side of the farm house (which I must admit was well needed and lovely). There were a couple of problems with the water but I think you come to expect it when it's such a busy time of the year. And at the end of the day it is a really cheap site which is run by really nice people. I think we paid about £25 for 3 nights with electric, which is the cheapest we have found so near to the coast. We will definitely continue to visit.

We visited the site for the first time in August and although it was quite busy the facilities were very good and coped well with the demand. I really must say that the farmer and his family were extremely helpful, especially his boy William, who, despite having done a full day’s work on the farm, found the time to help us with our awning. All in all, this was a fantastic little campsite and I would strongly recommend it to all.

The campsite was found to be very good, we stayed in the first two weeks of august and there was so much going on, The site had entertainment for the kids called Breck Farm Mission run by a christian group but the kids loved it! the toilets have improved since our last visit and also The Red Hart inn in nearby Bodham was tremendous and fantastic value

We have been going to Breck Farm for a few years. Suits us very well, very friendly people, very cheap especially for a large family like ours. I am already planning my Easter break. Nice to sit back and relax: good walks and Cromer and Sheringham just down the road. Even in peak periods we have not had a long wait for showers. New showers very nice. So I will definitely be going back again.

We went twice last year and will definitely be back this year. It’s a great 'proper', no frills, site and the owners are lovely and very helpful. Both times we went midweek and it wasn't crowded at all, quite the opposite in fact, and the children (and me) thought it was great to be able to have real campfires.

Having just returned from a long weekend at Breck Farm, I would just like to say that we had a brilliant weekend. Altogether there were 9 of us and 3 dogs in tents and a caravan. It’s a lovely place to just chill out and to be able to sit round a campfire made it even better. The facilities were fine for what you pay and good value for money.

We can’t wait to go back again.

We visited Breck Farm in August 2007 for a family camp over a long weekend. Found the campsite truly awful. The site was filthy; the washing and toilet facilities which can only be described as primitive even by third world standards were totally inadequate. Greed on the part of the site owners has lead to excessive numbers of campers at certain times most of who build large bonfires within feet of each others tents. The noise was also quite oppressive especially at 3.00am when music is still being played by drunken oiks. Breck Farm could be a lovely campsite with some financial investment on the part of the owners, and may appeal to some.

Personally I would rather camp in a rat infested shack in the backstreets of Baghdad than return to Breck Farm.

The campsite I found very nice, and satisfied our requirements. Toilets have improved greatly in the 2 years since our last visit. We tried the local pubs, the Weybourne Ship, and West Beckham Wheatsheaf both serving Great food. Don’t go near Bodham Red Hart though, it has changed hands since our last visit, going from a nice family pub, into somewhat of a hell hole! Breck farm is lovely though, and a nice break.

Had a lovely time at Breck Farm. The campsite was basic but good value for money. The owners of the farm were more than helpful and found the facilites there just fine. Will be going back again.

Had a lovely long weekend over the August bank holiday. Lots of people enjoying themselves, I think it would be nice if possible to have an area for people without children so we are not woken at 5.30am by crying infants. Not that we dislike children as we shall be bringing our grand children to the site in the near future. But when on our own its nice not to have to worry about footballs landing on the bbq etc.

Keep up the good work, see you soon.

We visited this site over the bank holiday weekend and it was very busy. The site itself is lovely with the added bonus of real fires in the evening made it a memorable experience.

Now the bad news!

It doesn’t matter how cheap a site is it should have a bare minimum of facilities. We probably had the best part of 500-600 people on site and two gents sit downs (1 sink no soap or dryer) and 4 ladies sit downs (ditto low on sinks). This led to long queues at most times of the day.

It would not take much to update the facilities slightly to be less of a health hazard and I for one would pay an extra couple of quid a night for the pleasure!
