This site is described in Alan Rogers' Good Camps Guide: France 2000, ref 4403, which is not reproduced here for copyright reasons. I agree with all that Alan Rogers says, except that most (not all) pitches are a good size. The site was so quiet when we were there that it was difficult to imagine anyone having to be given a smaller pitch. The site has a lot of charm, and has a woodland feel, with much wildlife - green woodpeckers and red squirrels were to be seen most days. No manicured lawns or flowerbeds. The owner and his wife are in their 30s, and have small children. They both speak excellent english. They are absolutely charming, and very helpful. We had a problem with our battery, and they couldn't do enough to help - phoning ahead to a caravan dealer, providing a detailed map of how to get to the dealer, etc. Nearby can be found: La Baule: a beach resort, clean, lots of restaurants. Shops pricey. Busy in season. Le Croisic: Large fishing village, Oceanarium (fantastic), restaurants, creperies, very pretty. Guerarde: 14th centruy walled town. Well preserved. Some good artisan shops. St. Nazaire: not much to see, however good shops. Lots of other fishing villages and great coastline up to Penestin. Supermarket 2 minutes drive (5 mins by bike). Weather mostly low 70s (F) low 20s (C) and sunny. Toilets/showers old but very clean. Mirrors, sockets for hairdryers. Wonderfully peaceful site, as the only children's facilities are a climbing frame and swing. So if you're looking for a good site for kids, it is definitely not this one. We stayed for 3 weeks, and it wasn't long enough!
