I know this site from having stayed there regularly for a decade. It is very welcoming, and above all very clean. It is very well furnished with a lovely big pool and slides. We will soon be coming back to spend our holidays, and I wish to acquire a mobile home there

I’ve been going for more than 16 years to l’Océan. It is very clean, very welcoming, but I find that the evenings are more like before I knew evenings in the little garage where they had the TV. It was something else after they had the room, which is very good, but the problem is there is no competent entertainer. It’s a real shame. I’m going back this year, as I love it. I find all my friends, and it’s a family-friendly site. What can I add: it’s very clean, and above all, you must go there.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

It’s the third time I’ve been to this campsite, and I was disappointed. Only one thing is important to them, and that’s your wallet. The welcome was lamentable, if you have complaints, go tell them to someone else, they’re not the concern of the campsite staff. First week of July, no activities, as most holidaymakers arrive later, for you, hard luck! As regards the space allocated to me, there was no chance of getting my "big" car in front of the mobile home, a Twingo! At night, watchmen that strike fear into you, and who call out "hey you, let’s see your wristband". The wristband, another good idea, this irremovable mark that you are obliged to wear, if not, beware of the watchmen! This little thing that one boy of 5 years wanted to keep as a souvenir, well, some like that sort of thing, and that was brutally recovered by a young girl at reception, who told him "Here, we give you nothing", followed by tears... A neighbour had to wear his, despite an allergy - pretty good huh? Apart from that, the campsite is clean, except for the marvellous pool at the end of the day. It’s true that the pool is a jewel, especially in the morning around 10am, but it would be good if they enforced a bit more discipline. Swimming shorts (not normally allowed in French pools), food around the edge, jumping and diving during busy periods... In summary, not entirely disgusted, but rather disappointed, that they make you feel nothing more than a walking wallet. Having discussed things with the regulars, it seems my view is shared this year.

Magnificent campsite. Warm welcome. Site very clean, with regular cleaning of toilet blocks. Entertainment every evening in July/August. My children were delighted, and we will be returning this year. Children’s club leader was the tops! There are lots of children’s play areas, especially for the really little ones. A dream for them.

We went to l’Océan this year. I have nothing to say, other than that it is really brilliant. There is everything for the children, with activities for the bigger ones. Calm, close to beaches, to the town centre and to the port. We had a really good holiday. We will be back next year.

Deplorable welcome from the owners of this campsite. Client have only to pay up and shut up; if you’re not happy, you can use the door. There are many residents who complain about the contracts that change from year to year, to their disadvantage, inclusive prices not broken down, obligation to deal with the green waste from your own area. In a word, a campsite that was very pleasant in its day, but that gets worse year on year since the change of owners.

We stayed at this site from 2-16 May 2008, and we found it delightful. Good service, clean and quiet. Close to the sea, and a good starting point for excursions on foot, bike, or by car. Everything here radiates peace. Every day you discover new things. The people are friendly, patient and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will come back again. Cor and Thea Knuppe

We stayed 7 days at this campsite, and our impression is rather mixed. A perfect pool complex, large pool, a smaller heated one indoors, slides, paradise for children. That’s the only good point. There was a problem with the hot water in our toilet block for 4 days. We reported it, but the only response was that it was to be expected, as there are a lot of people on site. I find that a bit off-hand for a 3* campsite. After delivery of some gas, and the intervention of a plumber, the hot water came back... The pitches are rather small. They’re having a laugh; the service is not up to it’s star rating.
