Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

The Bénista campsite does not deserve its 4 stars, it's only worth 2. The bungalows are next to the main road from Ajaccio to Porticcio, which is very noisy. The activities are ridiculous. The beginners diving takes place in a swimming pool 1.6m deep. The welcome is really not friendly, there's no welcome cup of tea, and the staff is probably recruited from the local retirement homes. Very expensive for a service that is not at all up to standard.

Pleasant campsite, partly due to the kindness of its occupants, but also of its owners. Apart from the proximity of the road, which causes a bit of a noise nuisance, the site is very pleasant, and worth a look.

We spent 10 days at the Benista, having not been able to find anywhere else. The only positive aspect of this campsite is that the tent pitches are large and separated by hedges. On the other hand, those in mobile homes have the benefit of the main road.
- The toilet blocks are ancient and dirty, nowhere to put down a towel.
- The sinks are forever blocked, at this can last all day, or even more.
- The pool, the restaurant and the playground are completely out on a limb, near to the main road.
No, this site has nothing that merits 4 stars, but given that it’s always full (like all the others) there’s no encouragement for the owners to improve anything.

We've been going to this site for 10 years, as it's the only one that takes bookings, but if you have any worry about the site, no more bookings for you.
On arrival, they show you the pitch, and that's it. No problem with the pitches themselves (very spacious). The toilet facilities are dated and dirty – not 4-star at all. The playground is ridiculous, with disgusting sand. Entertainment is hardly provided at all, and only in the bar. No food shops nearby, so you have to take the car. Not a terribly auspicious location, thanks to a major route nearby. And the staff, apart from a few very pleasant trainees, leave a lot to be desired in friendliness.

Campsite has 4 stars, but the quality only deserves 2! The toilets are ancient and dirty, and it's noisy, being near to a big road. The pitches, however, are quite shady. I advise against this site because it is quite expensive for the level of comfort.
