River Valley is a tranquil 18 acre park near St Michael's Mount, and is situated in one of the most picturesque valleys in Cornwall being just a few miles from both the North and South Coasts and their sandy beaches making it an ideal spot for a touring base. The park is partly wooded with a pleasant walk along the bank of our clear shallow stream. Surrounded by farmland, this is a quiet park which aims to give you a peaceful relaxing holiday.

The location offers you a sense of utter peace and tranquillity inviting you to relax whilst you take in the wonderful countryside atmosphere which offers amongst other things walks and drives to see the spectacular cliffs and granite moorlands, flower filled lanes and wooded valleys; or why not just sit back, unwind and feed the ducks, look out for the varied wildlife or just watch the glow worms!

If a peaceful location is what you're looking for but within only minutes of the coast, then this Park really does give you the best of both worlds. We have a range of luxury Holiday Homes and also cater for touring caravans, tents and motor homes with spacious pitches and electric hook-ups if required. Toilet blocks are fully tiled, and heated for early and late use, spotlessly clean with ample free hot water for all basins, showers and washing-up sinks. On the park is a shop, launderette, hair-drying room, shaver points, telephone box, ice-pack service and chemical disposal point. Much of the park is dog-free but dogs are welcome on some areas. We also have a family area and an adult only section, as many of our visitors are retired couples. All pitches are individually marked with many popular areas so it is advisable to book early especially for peak season.

This review is rather old. Treat it with care.

We've been to River Valley for several years off and on, staying in both a tent and in their static holiday homes. Why do we keep on coming back? The simple reason is that it is tranquil, friendly, welcoming but with all the facilities. The nice thing is having no entertainment because it is much more peaceful, and as you take an evening stroll along the river bank you see people playing boules, all manner of ball games and simply enjoying the evening air. The shop has everything you need to keep you going until you drive to Penzance and its many supermarkets, and the toilets and washing facilities are clean.

I would highly recommend it to anyone.

As River Valley is owned by Surf bay caravans I now have the impression that tents and tourers are some what second class to the static vans. Since we first went there four years ago I was amazed at how many statics and cabins have been put on in what was once a beautiful area by the River.
