This review is rather old. Treat it with care.

A field with very basic facilities - one toilet and one shower in a rickety wooden shed - but both functioned perfectly well. Washbasin has only cold water (though it comes out a red-coloured tap).

Field is generally level. Stream runs around the edge - in places shallow and stony, and could be good for paddling - in other places deep and muddy, and could be dangerous.

The road runs close by, but is not busy. Railway track 100m away, also not busy.

For a cheap place to pass the night, it was fine, but not a place I'd want to spend a holiday.

We've just used this site whilst visiting friends in nearby Crewkerne and we'll definitely use it again. The previous reviewers description is spot on. I should like to add that the toilet and shower, although housed in a rickety wooden shed were nice and clean. There are Electric hook-up points for Caravan/Motorhomes and an Elsan disposal tank. Dogs are permitted which is great for us as we have two. The stream would be a worry with toddlers, older kids would have loads of fun as its probably 3 or 4 feet deep at it's deepest.

Just spent 2 nights on this site and it is as described. Everything is a bit rough and ready but clean(ish) and functional. The only difficulty I had was finding someone to give money to. I was in a trailer tent and found the price really reflected the facilities very accurately.
