We have been to this campsite in June for the last three years, 2008-2010. The staff were very helpful, the food in the restaurant and cafe was very good. Our children really liked the crepes. The head lifeguard was very good at his job but a little rude as he really embarrassed my husband and 3 yr old son, they were wearing loose swimming shorts. He refused them entry into the pool without a warning, and a poster outlining the rule was displayed the next day. The noise from the poolside bar became unbearable so would only advise campers who are going to join in the fun to camp near the bar as the music is very loud. Will not be going there any in high season.

Arrived for 15 days with our caravan; average, even upsetting welcome, the entertainment is poor and shabby for a 4-star, and everything is extra. They invited us to play bingo; once we had our cards (paid for), we found ourselves a table, and hardly had we sat down when a waiter came to ask us what we wanted. At the time we didn't want anything, so he informed the barman, who came and told us that we had to consume something.
What's more, they woke us up each Saturday with the soft call of the pressure washer – noisy! The youngsters drink continuously, minors included! The sauna is occupied by young children, and also parents who think it's a giant dryer, where they dry and dress their babies.
The family DJ is pathetic. Why bother with disco evenings, when you don't even recognise the names of modern groups, but just fill the evening with techno. Happily, on the Thursday, a real DJ came to amuse us.
Toilets were dirty, the pétanque pitch was too small – three teams max, difficult when you're playing a tournament of 36 teams, and it's not lit.
The only positive point was the entertainers Fred and Coralie, and the lifeguards in the pool, which did a good job.
The night wardens stop you from sitting on the chairs at the closed restaurant, they think you'll damage them. In summary, unpleasant campsite, that should have just the one star, for the pool, and it won't see us again.

Hello,
We've just come back from a week at La Loubine. The pool is ok (slides, tunnel etc) though the water is rather cool, even though it is supposed to be heated, but the children amused themselves ok.
As for our chalet (6 person), it was not well equipped: there was no chair inside. Not helpful when you've got 5 people, and you can only just all squeeze onto the sofa. No microwave, not handy when you've got a baby. And there's always something that needs re-heating. And finally, no electric points in the bedrooms (for baby alarms).
As for entertainment, I'm sorry there were not more calm evenings (bingo, karaoke etc) as every evening, it was just disco music (one or two evenings, ok, but every evening…) until midnight or later, with a rather high volume. But, given that we were quite a distance away, we only suffered a background noise. On the other hand, I feel sorry for those who were nearby.
Not everything was negative, but I think there are some things that should be addressed at this 4* campsite.

I've been here for a few days, and I was disappointed by the reception. The toilets are too high – children would need steps. The washing up sinks are like laundry sinks, not at all practical for washing up, you break your back. But not in all blocks, some are better. The outdoor pools are freezing. The children were in the indoor pool, in fact everyone was there, so it was too small. A real shame, as the outdoor pools are really good, with their slides. No respect for safety rules for the trampolines, no one said anything. No supervision. Really very disappointed. And we've still got another week here. I strongly recommend against it.

We've just come back from a week at La Loubine, and are 75% disappointed by this campsite.
Very shady.
Nowhere to park our car at the pitch. And you're very close to your neighbours. Happily, ours were very nice.
Very strong smells in the mobile home (backing up in the WC?) not at all pleasant.
Shop was too small given the number of pitches.
Entertainment staff were absent or nearly so, except during one evening when the clients were generously paying for their drinks, where we started with one entertainer, then finished with 4 or 5, without them ever returning the compliment, or even saying thank you, then they left as if nothing had happened!
The welcome was rather chilly.
Nothing nearby, expect for a small children's playpark, otherwise, even for the beach you'll need the car, or have good footwear, or the money for the shuttle, or use your bike.
Positive points: very good outdoor pool, but it would be nice if they heated it a bit, as the water was very cold.

The campsite is good, but I thought they were a bit sharp with car parking: you have to pay €3 per day to put an extra car on the pitch. Otherwise, the pools are good, though the indoor one is a bit dangerous with the slides when there are a lot of people. As for the toilets, the cleaning ladies do a good job, but lots of people have no respect for cleanliness. It's shameful to see. The restaurant is good. The evening entertainment is superb, finishing around 00:30, but there's still a lot of noise afterwards, especially as I was in a tent at the end of the pool. Brilliant when you're trying to sleep. The indoor pool was closed twice due to human excrement: they ought to provide nappies at the entrance, that would be good.
