Good site on the whole, plus points: great pool complex with 6 slides and 3 pools, (there was never a lifegaurd on duty so everyone did as they pleased on the slides, well dodgy but great fun if closely supervised), small fishing lake, nice kids playground and sports court, clean and modern facilities. Minus points, very crowded when we went, pitches are crammed in very close together, looked a bit like a refugee camp on our first morning! but we got used to it, don’t go too close to the complex it’s noisy till 12ish. Go for the 10amp electric pitches as they are bigger and more open, the 6 amp pitches have very high hedges and are all under apple trees which when we went were lying all over the ground. The site roads are narrow and have mega tight bends with 8 foot high hedges blocking your view, tricky with a big van.

There is a number of pitches set aside for tour operator tents, but they are blended in well. There are no statics. When we went there would at a guess of been around 50% uk holiday makers.

The surrounding area is fantastic: beautiful beaches 10 minutes drive, historic towns, standing stones and lovely resorts. Baden village has a great restaurant that is within walking distance called "the galleon" reasonably priced and kid friendly.

To sum up then great site for families who like a nice complex with water and slides, far enough away from the coastal traffic but close enough to enjoy the area to its full.

We stayed on this site 16-30 Aug 2003, in a static residence mobile, which had a fantastic position overlooking fields.

The pool complex was fantastic, only minus point is there was not enough sunbeds for the amount of campers, so people were lying on the concrete to sunbathe. We couldn’t find any beaches really local, so we drove to the beaches at Carnac and Erdeven, about 20 min drive, they were lovely beaches.

The restaurant in the town "The Galoette" had superb food, but was very pricey, €157 for 4 adults, 2 children.

Overall, a great site, we were very impressed.

I visited this campsite in July 2004. Campsite was very nice - we stayed in a Keycamp mobile home, which was at the bottom of the steep hill - great for walking off the demi pressions and crêpes! Our boys are 13 and 9 and I felt that the site was very safe and I did not have a problem with them going to the pool or table tennis on their own. The campsite owners themselves were very polite and helpful although I thought the Keycamp reps may have just been there for a fun summer! They were all very young and not particularly helpful unless pushed - but they were polite and friendly all the same. There was plenty of entertainment on site. My only moan is that the pool area is maybe not big enough for the amount of guests - it was always very busy and I would say that if you don’t like children or splashes - stay away!

I used to stay in Baden 20+ years ago and the area has changed a lot in many ways particularly with its popularity. When I used to go with my brothers and parents you could walk to the village and not pass another car or person. However it’s not a bad thing and I was happy to share my memories with my children and husband and I am sure many people will continue to enjoy the beautiful area of Baden as I have. The nearby golf courses are also excellent. A great campsite and ever-beautiful area - we will definitely be staying again.

I've just read the previous statements by other holidaymakers and I agree to some point. But this is the best over campsite I’ve been to in the last 5 years. Jean-Vincent the owner was absolutely brilliant as were all the staff who work the season. If you are going to be staying with a holiday firm (Keycamp, Canvas) the pitches are the largest I’ve seen. There are 3 fishing lakes at the bottom of hill, in which carp are stocked with weights going from 5lbs to anything over 16lbs. The swimming complex is excellent, and the slides are out of this world (kids will love them). Entertainment is varied throughout the season. I recommend this site as a must for families.

Excellent campsite. Varied entertainment. The mobile homes are spacious. We were really happy with our stay, even though we had two days of rain. The pool is really good, the children, as well as my husband, loved the slides. People were very polite, and the prices were reasonable. The only criticism is that the pool is not supervised. I recommend this campsite to every family of four.

Just returned from this campsite and have to say it was probably the best we have been to. Excellent pool complex with six slides but they really do need a proper lifeguard in high season. We took our own caravan and were given an excellent pitch near to all the facilities so we hardly saw our three boys aged 10, 8 and 6 for two weeks. The area itself is beautiful although Carnac and La Trinite were very busy. We had two weeks of fantastic weather so we never got to do many of the things we had planned but would highly recommend this site to families with children of all ages.

We have been going to this campsite for more than 20 years, for stays of 3 weeks to a month, in a caravan or motor home, about two years out of every three. It’s a remarkable establishment, which has evolved in an interesting way, responding to the needs of everyone, youngsters, teenagers, adults and the more elderly.

What’s more, the region is magnificent, and not too cluttered with golf courses in this part.

As far as we are concerned, to be recommended without any doubt.

We visited here for 12 nights in June 2006 with our four kids. We thought this campsite was lovely, I was worried that the two older kids would be bored but they loved the trampoline and water slides. The trampoline has a "only one on at at time" rule but it is not enforced so would urge caution, as with the water slides. Site got busy at weekends with french wedding parties but it didn't spoil our enjoyment. We had asked for a quiet pitch, and French Life thoughtfully placed us accordingly near the fishing lakes at the bottom of the site. It's a fairly steep hill up to the pool but only about 5 minutes walk. Little kids loved the bouncy castle. Very pretty scenic site with pine wood. Recommend this site for families with young children, and anyone not looking for lively nightlife.

This year will be my 6th year to this campsite. The whole family goes, and we rent out 6 mobile homes, usually near the lakes at the bottom, as both my husband and me love the fishing. We tend to go mid June for 2 weeks and we find that the weather is great and the campsite not crowded at all. As others have said its not too far from beaches. The 2 pools and slides are great for the whole family. There is a shop on site and that’s stocked very well with day to day foods - especially the croissants.

Just got back from Mané Guernehué (left very reluctantly). We had an absolutely fab time! Stayed at a much quieter site the week before so a bit of a shock to the system, this place is busy. But for good reason! Our boys (9 & 7) spent 5 hours in the pool on the first day, we all loved the waterslides, cafe/restaurant is reasonably priced and the food is good. The pitch we were given for our caravan was huge and very secluded. Had a go at the archery (only 2 euros each for an hour, the wife beat me, damn!) and the Tyrolean traverse (whizzing through the trees on a series of huge deathslides (absolutely fantastic!) Based in a lovely area (not that we got to see much of it since we were on the site a lot), go and eat at St Goustan and take a boat trip round the gulf of Morbihan. We would go there again.

Great Campsite, we have just returned from two weeks on this site, and had a great time. We were in a large group. The facilities are fine, although very French. Despite there being a number of UK holiday companies on the park, all the posters and announcements were in French. Shop fine, facilities fine, parks good, swimming complex great. Baden village quant, but nothing much there. Some lovely places to visit around the location, nearest beach about half an hours drive.

Excellent site. Fabulous new indoor pool - great outdoor water complex with slides and lovely pool for the little ones.

Facilities clean even when full.

Lots to do, archery, tree traversing, boules, ponies etc.

Great size pitches, some with water and drainage.

Very quiet after 11.00pm.

Took bikes but didn't use them much.

Very glad we were not in a static down the hill. -Would need pacemaker or crampons!!!! Very steep. Some people drove car up to top to go to pool complex.

Restaurant good.

Some Entertainment in evening during the 2 weeks we were there, but don't hold your breath.

Reception very good.

Shop sells most things - good opening hours but no fresh fruit or veg.

However very good supermarket just down the road.

Also - (but hope you don’t need it) an excellent doctor just down the road. He was brilliant with our young son.

Weather not very good with some thunderstorms and heavy rain but it didn't spoil the holiday.

Mainly English Dutch and French Mix.

Would definitely go there again.

Safe, friendly park.

Thoroughly recommended.
