Small private site near to the Taff trail. Working sheep farm but most animals well away from the site.

In the Brecon National Park near Merthyr Tydfil. Heading North on the A470 from Merthyr towards Brecon the site is on the left after about 3 and a half miles. There is a brown campsite sign. Privately owned site.

Pleasant little site with views across a valley. Just off the main A470 but surprisingly quiet.

We paid £9.00 per night with electric which is not cheap but this was peak season.

For toilets, you have a choice of a Portacabin with small cubicles or a more palatial facility at the farmhouse.

Likewise, for Showers/Washing, Portacabin shower much too small for comfort but you could hold a barn dance in the single shower room under the arch at the farmhouse.

Washing up: Two sinks - metered - may need 20p coin but it lasts more than one session so you could strike lucky. Unusually for a site this size there were (slot meter) laundry facilities too.

On site facilities: Tourist information leaflets. Odds and ends on sale at farmhouse.

Walks: With the Taff trail less than a mile away and the whole Brecon National Park at your door you are not likely to be stuck for somewhere to wander.

Site is split into several separate areas. The electric pitch area is quite flat. Pitches are grass with firm rocky ground under a shallow layer of soil - we needed a few metal awning pegs. You are unlikely to get bogged down in mud as we had four days with plenty of rain but had no problems.
