Very pleasant little site. Worth a visit. Run by Camping and Caravan Club, accepts non-members. Very tidy and well maintained, but many pitches are not very level.

Road runs right by the site and was fairly busy during the day.

Good shelter - site surrounded by trees. Some parts of site don't get much sun.

Single toilet block. Only two cubicles.

Showers are just about as good as you will ever get on a campsite.

Gents had only one enclosed washbasin but the ladies fared better (or so I am told).

Four household size washing up sinks, indoors. Like just about all campsites they were mounted a little low for our liking and I am only five foot five.

On site facilities: Normal C&CC facilities.

Forest trails leading directly from the campsite but not very exiting. Seemed very muddy but it had rained all previous week. This would not explain algae on some of the puddles though, which looked more like ponds.

If you like walking, plan on a short trip out - there are hundreds of very good walks on the chase.

We have just returned from Cannock Chase. Mark's report was accurate and I would agree with him. This would be an excellent site for campers that live close by. Small and very well kept, We only stayed for a few days and the site managers were very helpful with ideas of where to go. A pretty site but I would not vist the site again as we have the Forest of Dean much closer, with as much to offer.

The site is attractive but far from flat! (Mark Griffiths, May 1999)
