Site run by Camping and Caravan Club.

The advantage with this site is that it's close to the M42. The problem with this site is that it's close to the M42.

Fair sized site split into sections. The site is mostly level and has very good roadways. On some pitches high trees can cut out the sun for part of the day.

The Water Park is right next door so there is plenty of walking available albeit none too exciting. If you are into birdwatching you'll love it.

Several portacabin toilets. Rather cramped compared to purpose built buildings and only two cubicles per portacabin. Showers/Washing also in the portacabins. No washing cubicles. Two showers. The showers were domestic type electric and worked well but space was very restricted. Amazingly no less than three pegs were provided which is unusual - I didn't need our "clip on the door" pegs.

Washing up: Not bad. Three domestic sized sinks. I had a problem getting hot water in one sink but the one next to it was fine.

On site facilities: Normal C&CC facilities. Paper van Saturday and Sunday morning. There was a baked spuds and sausage van on site on Friday and Saturday night but he had only just started up and may not continue - predictably as nobody knew he would be there he got little custom.

Walks: Not bad but a bit boring unless you are into watching water birds. The visitor centre in the park is excellent.

We have just spent a wonderful weekend at this campsite, and it has obviously been updated since the last review. We found the site exquisite. The new shower/toilet block, reception, washing up areas were beautiful. You could eat your dinner off the floor in the shower block. The under floor heating in the spotless showers was bliss. Not a daddy long legs or cobweb in sight. The wardens were very helpful and friendly. They even helped to push our van into position. We will definitely return and use this superb site again.

Just got back from this site, it was excellent, showers, toilets, washing up sinks spotless, the site itself is well kept and the holiday site managers very helpful. The site is within the boundaries of Kingsbury Water Park itself, which is a great facility if you enjoy walking, cycling or water sports. The only fault I could find is it's close proximity to the M42 making it quite noisy at times.

We have used this site twice in the last six months and both times have found the facilities maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. The wardens are helpful and have lots of useful info about the area. Advance booking is required in bank holiday periods and kids holidays as site is very popular.

Kingsbury Water Park now has a brand new facilities block and the portacabins are gone. It is an excellent site and motorway noise is only a bit intrusive in one section of the field.
