Camping and Caravanning Club Site. Well worth a visit despite the terrible entrance track - which may have been improved by now. Part of site adjacent to the Incleborough Fields Caravan Club Site. General: Large site. Very tidy and well maintained. Well away from any busy roads. Many pitches are not very level. Fairly open site so with care you should be able to "catch the rays" from most pitches for at least part of the day. The pitch I chose on the slope at the back of the site got sun ALL day. Two toilet blocks. 5 cubicles in the biggest but 2 were locked. I've noticed this on other sites - I suppose it cuts down on cleaning. It caused no problem that I noticed with the camp at around 75% full. Showers are just about as good as you will ever get on a campsite. Plenty of room, changing area with seat, full temperature control - super. Spacious private washing cubicles. Washing up: One household size sink 2 industrial. Indoors. The deep industrial size sinks were mounted a little low. Normal C&CC on-site facilities. Walks Lots of good trails leading directly from the site. Mostly well drained. Despite torrential rain overnight there were very few puddles and no mud the next morning.

An absolutely lovely site and the track down there is beautiful especially in May when the rhododendrons are in full bloom. It is like something from the woodlands in Portugal - soft ground, lots of fir trees and peaceful. The site is great. Plenty of cycling and a great playground for the kids. Been here time and time again. Always very clean, no complaints at all about the toilets, they've never been locked when we've been. Site managers are very friendly and the chips from the chip van are scrummy!

Just visited the site this weekend 17/7/04. First camping expedition with the family and what a fantastic place to do your first visit. Plenty of space, lovely position, no road noise, impressive shower/wc facilities (very clean, plenty hot water, no queues). Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty to see and do in the area. We live reasonably close so will be making many return visits.
