Custer state park has several campgrounds to choose from We stayed at Game Lodge Campground. The cost per night for a tent was $17. Site fairly level, equally suitable for RVs or tents. Sites can be reserved. Campsite hosts were lovely and very helpful. Showers and toilets good and clean. Laundry with washers and dryers, cost when we visited $1.25 each. Swimming pond with small beach: you share the pond with fish and turtles. Creek runs along one edge of site. Buffalo roam nearby. General store and visitor centre 1/2 mile away. Evening film or talk given on site, for those who wish to attend. Lots to see and do in state park, walks to do, buffalo, burros and prairie dogs to see, and mountain roads to negotiate. Great place.
