It was very wet when we stayed here and our tent was waterlogged. We had electric hook up for the first time because of the bad weather we thought we would treat ourselves to a heater, but unfortunately the electrics kept overloading and kept cutting out. The owner said that they should have been sorted out but the electrician had let them down, but he didn't offer to give us a refund for the extra that we paid for electric hook up. We bought a folding camper after this experience. There was a super Thai Restaurant with a log fire about 2 minutes drive away though, called the Craw fish Inn (where we thawed out), we still visit here regularly.

John and Alison who now own this site could not be more helpful. The site did go downhill but they have worked hard and it is now the best it has ever been. Toilet, showers and site spotless.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

This site does not care about tents. Had booked two pitches at great expense - nearly £20 per night for one adult and two toddlers. Were put on pitches that were small and unusable because badly sloped and rutted - potholes filled up with rainwater, and the owners expected us to put up with it.
Have stayed on sites for half the price and had much better pitches.
The owner's attitude was to shrug shoulders and say 'It's a field'. True but a very expensive one. Facilities may be good but most campers want a level bit of ground above other things.
We did not stay but they refused to give any refund.
If you're in a tent - don't bother.

Now stop here on a regular basis. I find the site to be one of the friendliest we have used. John and Alison are always more than willing to help out wherever and whenever needed. The site is always well presented and the toilet and wash areas are always maintained to a very high standard. Would recommend to any fellow caravanners.

First visit, found Alison and John very friendly and helpful. Site is very well set out, pitches are first class as are the toilet and shower facilities. Will certainly visit again.
