Studfold Farm Caravan and Camping Park has had its facilities up graded. There is now a brand new toilet and shower block in the touring field. Showers and deep sinks for washing up are both free, and there is a disabled/baby change area. Ian Walker, owner

We camped at the site over the August Bank Holiday period during which time the site was full. The pitches were well spaced out, flat and the campsite was (with the exception of one noisy group on one night) quiet at night in part due to it's isolated rural location. However we were in a tent on a field which was seperated from the main site by a short road and this meant a 300 yard trek along a public road to the toilet block, dish washing facilities and water tap which could be a problem if you have small children. On the busiest day the showers were barely warm and there were not enough of them, also they didn't appear to have been cleaned over the weekend, although cleaning stuff was provided for you to clean the sinks with. Be aware that you need to get old 10p's from the owners to use both the showers and get hot water for washing up with. Also order your milk the night before or you won't get any. Both pubs in Lofthouse and Middlesmoor can be recommended although they don't open all day. The food in the Middlesmoor pub is excellent and well worth the walk up the steep hill. A site I'd visit again but not over a bank holiday weekend.

I feel the campsite was clean and respectful. The toilets and showers were of a high standard but the drawback was you needed old 10p's from the owners to get hot water!!! The campsite is situated in an excellent area of natural outstanding beauty, with Howstean gorge just a 2 minute walk up the road. The pub in Lofhouse serves fabulous food and has an extremely good cosy atmosphere. Worth a visit.
