This campsite is an enigma. It is in a very attractive village, where the house prices must be stratospheric (we clocked one house for sale at £750k) and it has a huge frontage onto the River Avon. It should cost a fortune to stay here.

It doesn't. It is very reasonably priced, has excellent facilities, and is very well located for the surrounding amenities. The park has three areas, two of which are restricted to mobie homes, and one which has a mix of mobile homes, tourers and tent accommodation. It is good level ground and very easy to pitch on, although a possible niggle is that you are shown to a field and told to pitch where you like - there are no defined pitches. This could mean that you might wake up and find that someone has stuck their tourer or tent in such a position that you can't get your car out. Unlikely, I know, so only a minor niggle.

Good points: fantastic location, very helpful reception, lots of space, very clean and spacious toilets, free showers, free washing up water, good little shop and café, and a nice bar on the adjacent site (which we didn't discover until the last night!)

Bad points: nothing serious enough to warrant a mention.

Stratford is massively over-rated and very disappointing. However, if you have kids, then I STRONGLY recommend Warwick Castle, which is very close by.

We had an excellent holiday here, and I would recommend this site to anyone.

This really is an excellent site and to be recommended. It is an ideal base for Stratford (when I was there, they had a river bus every hour taking people to the centre of the town) and the Cotswolds.

There is a small but nice cafe on the site where they will do a small fry-up breakfast for 99p (or twice of everything for £1.99) and there is ample space for the children to play.

My advice is to walk around the whole site - many people do not find the children’s play equipment (nicely maintained) nor the bar. The toilet block is excellent and heated.

They do a weekend package now where for a few more pounds you can stay until late Sunday afternoon - handy for a weekend away.

Stratford has many delights but they are hidden away. For small children check out the superb sandpit and playpark at the rear of the riverside car park. And do a bus tour as they do inform you of the places to visit which are not apparent when visiting for the first time.

Wonderful campsite - hard to fault. We found the waterbus an especially enjoyable way to go to Stratford which we found, with a teenage daughter in tow, a very stimulating & lively place. Teenage daughter enjoyed it so it must have been alright!

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

A complete bag of shite, all of the above idiots must be beggars, this is with out doubt the oldest and crappiest camp site I've ever seen, It reminded my of carry on camping with Sid James.

Stratford and Warwick have nothing to see other than old buildings, so if you have kids or are looking for somewhere interesting, give this shite hole a miss!!!.
