Have visited this site four times this year.
Cannot fault in any way.
On the water’s edge but safe for kids as water is shallow.
Great for boating and canoeing.
Beautiful white sandy beaches.
Good facilities - showers, laundry, payphone, fridge/freezer.
All facilities very clean.
Very few midges.
Limited pitches-better to book in advance.
By car within easy reach of Morar beach & Mallaig harbour.
Can be quite windy at times.
Owner very helpful.

I agree with the last two opinions. Lovely part of the world, and the site is very clean and tidy. Going back at Easter. I loved it. It was my first visit last Sept and weather was beautiful, and owner is very nice lady and very helpful. See you in March!

In our address book, we had a campsite that had been recommended, but that we never found. Finally, we came across a fellow camper, who advised us to try Joyce’s campsite.
The site is beside the sea, with direct access to the beach, and a magnificent view of the islands. We paid, for one night, £9 for 2 adults, 1 tent and car. Free choice of pitches, and there were some caravans and mobile homes.
The showers were extra, at 50p. But the machine did not work, so they were free. There were two separate showers, one for men, one for women, and a sink and hair dryer.
There is a kitchen with free microwave, and washing and drying machines at a cost.
Everything was quite clean.
Wooden tables were available for eating outside - perfect for supper at sunset.

I am a regular guest at this campsite and can echo the comments of others above. The site is beautifully situated and peaceful, on a beachside working croft with Highland and Shetland ponies wandering around and lots of wildlife to see. There are a lot of frequent and repeat campers there so it's a like a little community in the summer months. The facilities are fairly basic as are most the sites in this area, but clean and tidy. As it's right on the beach side the site is usually midge free as the little blighters don't like the breeze too much! Joyce the owner is a lovely lady, very hard-working and helpful.
Definitely book ahead to avoid disappointment!
