Hello,

After three weeks spent at the Camping de la Cascade, I can tell you that it is the best site that I have visited, for the following reasons:

This second year, we were recognised, and the management gave us a small discount.

We participated in all the activities, and everything was of top quality.

This year again, the site was clean, and the lodging (a chalet) in an impeccable state – they had been refurbished over the winter.

The future plans for the campsite are encouraging, as they intend to invest in a covered pool!

I heartily recommend this place, particularly for its beauty and its peace, but also for the welcome, and the enterprising spirit of the managers.

I highly recommend this campsite, equally for its location, its quality, the warm welcome by its staff, and the entertainment. We hired a cabin which was very comfortable for us and our three children. The pool is worthy of a town pool, though perhaps it could do with a slide. And the banks of the Tarn are clean and accessible. The pontoon is an excellent diving platform.

We spent an excellent holiday here last year, and we’ll be back this year for an extra week. That says it all!

We went in August 2008. It was super; we had a whale of a time. The staff was very welcoming and super friendly, and the toilets were very clean. Camping was a bit tiring, but brilliant.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

Hello everybody, I've just read these views, which seem generally positive. That's unfortunate, as the following month, that is, August 2008, we were not at all happy: the pitches were dirty and covered with debris; the toilets and showers were not clean; there was no hot water in the afternoons, and the extra activities, tennis etc, were at extra cost. To crown the lot, the nights were noisy. We are not luxury holidaymakers, but this site does not deserve its 4 stars! We'll not be coming back, and we won't be recommending it to others.

In 11 reviews, 9 are positive, which seems sensible to me, given the quality of the time I've just spent there. The 20% complainants (Velasquez and Marie Josset) should go to a hotel with parking right outside the room, if 4km is too far to go to see a pretty waterfall.

I spent a very pleasant fortnight, thanks to a charming and dynamic team, different activities every day, spacious pitches, and a superb view. My children really appreciated it. Paths here and there allow you to get from one part of the site to another, without going up and down.

I can only recommend that you go there.

This campsite is super, contrary to what Marie Josset says. And if she is not happy, she has only to stay away, and leave those who want to go there in peace.

Super campsite!! In magnificent surroundings. The staff are available and welcoming.

The pool is very large, and the activities brilliant.

The toilet blocks are clean, despite the hill to get to them. But it's good for the health.

Recommended.

Hello

It is true that there are some flies, but apart from that, there's nothing to say against this site. The toilet blocks are clean, the pool is good, the activities equally so, and the staff is pleasant and smiling.

I think that Mme Josset perhaps did not do her research, or perhaps did not read the brochure properly. And it is true that it is easy to bring a complaint in the hope of recovering a little money, especially when a good part of the criticism is without foundation.

Personally, we had a very good stay.

I am completely in agreement with madame Josset regarding this campsite, which in my opinion in no way merits the 4 stars it has acquired. The cleanliness of the toilet blocks leaves a lot to be desired, and equally the facilities for dishwashing (although the lack of consideration on the part of certain campers is not the fault of the owners). I also found several surprising features: no supervision at the pool and bathing area, serious slopes (great for people with pushchairs, or the handicapped), very limited shop, electric point rather distant.

Though I have been camping for 15 years, and not the type to complain, it's a long time since I've seen such a bad campsite. Try going to the Rhône-Alpes or Provence to see what a real 4-star campsite is like.

Very warm welcome, staff that listen, 4-star campsite, not 3 as Marie Josset claims. Who could confuse a campsite with a luxury hotel? I have seen no mutant flies, nor dragons, nor bodies in the pool. I can't wait to return, to discover the excursions by canoe, the viaduct at Millau, Roquefort, in brief, this magnificent country, and this very good campsite, that I recommend heartily for parents and children.

Super campsite: really clean; very warm welcome, magnificent walks, just a little tiring getting to the bar, but once you're there, you don't leave.

The campsite is super, there's nothing to say against it. Unlike madame Marie Josset. I am a child.

Vicious review (Marie Josset, above). If you don't want flies, don't take holidays in the country. The campsite is exceptional, and the welcome is warm-hearted. There's a family atmosphere, and there is something for every taste, to have an enjoyable stay. The waterfall is indeed there, at 100m from the campsite. This waterfall served as backdrop for the film "Fanfan la Tulipe".

You're right about the flies, but even so the welcome is warm. One small snag is that the pool is not heated - quite hard when there is no sun. A big plus point is the cleanliness; on this point I cannot fault the site.

Mme Josset is certainly not a real camper; I imagine she prefers the comfort of the villas in St Tropez!

I have been 3 times, and I'm going back. I've been camping for 25 years, and it's the best I've ever been to!

The welcome is perfectly warm. I receive a card from the owners every year!

There is every possible activity.

The team is very dynamic.

Every year there are new improvements, and the region is splendid!

No children's club, despite the publicity. Location invaded by flies resistant to all treatments. No bike track for the children (slope too great - dangerous) swimming pool unsupervised, in summary far from the three stars advertised. A complaint has been deposited with the authorities of the département. To be AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS WITH CHILDREN. The waterfall that can be seen on the brochure is not visible from the campsite, it's 4km by road.
