We have just enjoyed a fantastic weekend at Robin Hood Caravan Park. We stayed in a tent at £10 per night (for 4 people). The park takes Motor Homes, Tents, Tourers and hires out static caravans. There were quite a few for sale. We had a very friendly reception. The site is run by a young couple and they look after it extremely well. The toilets (all facilities free of charge) were extremely clean and were obviously checked regularly. There is a small shop on site but it sells just about everything that you need. We were in a field with a play area so it was nice to be able to sit by the tent and still check the kids were ok playing.
The site is located in the small village of Slingsby. It was "scarecrow weekend" whilst we were there so plenty to do. The kids loved the Maypole dancing.
I can definitely recommend this site. Its location is perfect for visiting so many different places York, Castle Howard, North Yorkshire Moors, Scarborough and Filey

We stayed here during the 2nd may bank holiday of 2006 and what a lovely clean site!!
Showers and toilets are kept clean.
Reception area sells basic essentials and the people running the site were extremely friendly.
Car Boot in Slingsby now and again offers a nice walk and maybe a bargain!
Good bits:
- play park
- spacious pitches
- free showers
- clean shower/toilet block
- clean washing facilities
- Location
Down Side:
- no lighting from tents to toilets at night.
- Showers TOO HOT (kids could not use them as they would have got burnt!)
- Having to drive to reception to then retrace steps to pitch!
Superb value for money in a great location we WILL be visiting again!!
