Pitches in bad order, sited touring vans in very bad order, dumped vehicle with smashed windows. Sanitary waste point located in same area as washing up point. Electric hookups damaged. In my view, I feel that this is a very poor site.

This Park has recently changed ownership and management. There are lots of changes in progress. The club house has been revamped (considerably), the toilets are checked at least four times a day and cleaned each time. The tourer pitches are in the process of being marked out. The management and staff are very helpful and are doing their utmost to make this site a clean, welcoming and well run place to visit. Whilst I agree that last year there was a sharp decline on this site, things have definitely improved and continue to do so.

Pitches are grass with new looking conifer hedges planted between them, the electric boxes looked all brand new & although chemical disposal point had a sink next to it there was no hot water there so obviously not meant to be used for anything. toilets were in excellent condition, well kept and regularly cleaned, facilities were great, indoor pool & new clubhouse with fab entertainment. Would recommend, especially with children.

This campsite is not set up to take campers or caravans it has 3 toilets and 3 showers for each sex for the whole campsite people were using hedges as their toilets down the bottom end of the park because its to far to walk it is an absolute disgrace, the environmental health department will be notified. I shall never return again even if it was free.

There was not a level pitch in sight and the toilets (all three of them) and showers were filthy, which is a definite no-no. There were some very unsightly tourers that looked like they were permanently sited. The swimming pool was more like a swimming puddle.

I did look at these reviews before I stayed but decided to give the resort the benefit of the doubt, I won't make the same mistake again.

This site is not fit for campers: only 3 toilets and 3 showers for each sex, no wonder they are using the trees and hedges. It’s a five-minute walk to them if you are down the bottom of the park where the freeholders are. The roads are full of pot holes so i would advise a 4x4 if you want to go to the so called boat ramp. It’s not my cup of tea :(

We visited Waterside at the end of July 2006 with our tourer and two children. I can honestly say this is a very warm and friendly park where you can let your children go off and play. The staff are very helpful and polite. We liked it so much we ended up buying a freehold plot which is very rare on a caravan site these days. I highly recommend this to any tourers out there.

We recently visited this campsite and it was awful. The toilets were filthy and absolutely disgusting. The swimming pool was so small that we couldn’t even swim in it. The entertainment was bad the club only had about 10 tables and was never full some days the entertainment finished by 10pm. In the shop the prices were so expensive it’s a wonder any body buys stuff. The pitch where we were put had dogs mess everywhere and rubbish littered the site. The showers were freezing and had mess everywhere. This was my first holiday with my boyfriend and thanks to the site it was awful. I would never go back there if you paid me!

The pool was tiny nothing like the brochure had made out! Heated? Doubt it had been heated all year. It was so cold I couldn't have my 9 month old in it. It was also filthy: the water was so murky that when you dived under you couldn't see in front of you! The only good point of this site is the girls who worked in the café; they were really friendly and welcoming.

This site is awful, locals freely come and go as they wish to use on site shop & cafe, anyone could be walking in, the weekend we stayed I didn't see security once, static caravan owners felt they owned the club house. At 1 in the morning we were woken by static caravan owners arguing, fighting, drinking, drug taker, shouting. I was worried about my family safety to complain to them to be quite, this went on for about an hour. Where was the security then!. In morning I complained at reception they didn't seem that bothered maybe this is the norm, as a friend from work took his tent and family there the following weekend and had exactly the same problem!
