This is the best campsite that we have ever visited. There is something for everyone. Carp fishing at its best (up to 29lbs), Beautiful woodlands and walk ways. The proprietors, Simon and Becky couldn’t be more helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. They have created a small haven of tranquillity and beauty with every attention to detail paid. The toilet block is to hotel standards with power showers, clean toilets (with loo roll!!!) and underfloor heating. The pitches are either hard standing or grass with electric hook up. There is facility to camp lakeside but there are no hook ups there. There is a small children’s play area in the family field, which is new and well maintained. In short we have no complaints or quibbles at all. This is a working farm and fresh eggs are available daily. In the village, a 5 minute stroll away there is a village shop and post office and a pub. This is a little bit of heaven.

Agree with the previous report. Smashing site, excellent facilties. Nice pub in village - lovely food. Shop well stocked.

The natives are very friendly, we stayed a week in October and really enjoyed the peace and quiet. Noiser at weekends when fishermen and families arrive but still not too bad.

I have no hesitation in recommending this site.

For a fisherman it may be heaven, for me it was just the most pleasant, quiet and relaxed site I have ever stayed at. I must extend our thanks to the people who run this clean and well-maintained site.

Don’t cook breakfast, go and buy it from the site shop. (I am so lazy!)

The toilet block has washing up facilities and excellent showers.

When we went they did not take switch cards but we were told that they were working on that, It does not matter as there is a Tesco just ten minutes (drive) away. The local shop, and more importantly, pub are just two minutes walk away and are both recommended.

All in all I think it was worth the seven hour drive.

Good campsite - well maintained and quiet with children’s play area. Showers could have been hotter but clean. Only downside was the pub down the road (the only one in walking distance unfortunately). Proprietor rather rude and a bit Basil Fawlty-ish, which is Ok if you like service with a sneer and your chicken curry tasting like it came from the 'homepride cook-in-sauce' range.
