A nice 3 star campsite. There are 80 pitches with 15 amp electric hook-up. You camp around the racecourse buildings - by the grandstand or the Tote building - even by the Winning Post! No camping on the actual racecourse, but the pitches are mainly spacious. Some pitches are on hard standing.

The facilities are plentiful and of reasonable quality. There is a nice (cheap) bar on site together with a small sports centre.

There are function rooms on site, which can be a disadvantage, as they host parties. When we stayed there was a wedding party and some campers complained that it was rather noisy. Luckily we were pitched away from the function suite!

There is a basic shop on site - for basic groceries, milk and newspapers. The staff are friendly and helpful.

On race days you have to move your caravan to a grass area in the center of the course by 9am!

Great site. Quiet and relaxing. Loads of space even when full. We got to the coast, all major towns and places of interest in over half on Norfolk within an hour of the site. We'll be there again.

Having just returned from the Fakenham Racecourse caravan site after spending a week there. May I say what a nice site, toilets and shower blocks were cleaned daily, the staff where always willing to help or have a chat with you. We are very new to caravaning only our second time out, we had a hard standing pitch which enabled us to set up everything correctly. Over the Bank Holiday weekend it was very busy but everyone had plenty of space and all the people were very friendly making it a lovely atmosphere. We are hoping to go back next year and stay longer and would certainly recommend this site to anyone.
