Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

When we first arrived we had a warm welcome and let onto our pitch early as we arrived quite early in the morning. But when we visited the shop there were very little provisions such as potatoes, bacon, fruit juice, cereals etc.
No persons under the age of 18 were allowed in to bar area and when we went in there we were asked to leave because my son is under that age but we had been in there in the afternoon. The licensee of the premises was very aggressive towards us. The toilet blocks are very small and only have 3 shower units when the site was full to the brim and we would never visit the site again and none of the Shorefield camps.

Stayed at Merley at Easter 2008.fantastic sight, staff lovely and friendly especially in club house had a great laugh with the bar staff so helpful in telling us where to go on days out. The quiz was very good too. We only live down the road, you don't have to travel miles to a good site when you live in Dorset, would highly recommend.

What a fantastic site. This was our first visit , but wont be our last. It provided everything a family with or without kids could want. It was also the friendliest site we have been on, and yet remaining quiet and unrowdy.
The facilities, grounds and pitches were spotless and sparkling, and the location just right for visiting the area.
Well done Merley, and thanks for a great holiday. My only complaint?? Our holiday with you wasn't long enough!!

Loved it.
Couldn't find fault with the site at all.
The only problem we had was with the rabbits on site that our 2 dogs liked to chase.

I've been visiting Merley Court 2 or 3 times a year for about ten years and never have I found a single thing to moan about....Okay, just one thing, I wish that they would let dogs in the pub. But that really is the only minor gripe. The facilities are absolutely 5 star. The toilet and shower blocks are immaculate, the grounds are beautifully tended, with plenty of flowers and shrubs and the whole place has an up-market, well-maintained feel about it.
In addition to the pub, which serves good food, there's a takeaway, swimming pool, 9-hole pitch & put, tennis court, volleys ball court and even, a large croquet lawn. There's a well-stocked shop and even a dog-grooming parlour on site.
The pitches are all on the larger side, well drained and level. The site is located in a quiet area, next to a golf course about three miles north of Poole. The pretty little market town of Wimbourne, with it's brilliant Sunday market is just a mile away.A wonderful, friendly caravan site, don't hesitate to go there.

Merley Court has everything you could want: peaceful woodland surroundings, safe walks, cycling down an old disused railway line, very large pitches, water +elec at hand, club house on site, cafe etc, heated outdoor pool, site shop, tennis courts, wonderful gardens, 5 star AA rated. Wimborne town approx one mile away, with its shops, pubs, etc. Check out its web site [link on the left] for more info.
