We felt the need to write this review because of the out dated toilet and shower blocks, which were probably built during the 1970s. In each block there are only two showers, one of which was broken in both cases. The water pressure in the area is so bad that if you happen to be lucky enough to get a hot shower, the water will only trickle out! This problem is only made worst when other people are using the facilities, when the water stops altogether. We've come to the conclusion that the complete shower and toilet block is in need of serious renovation. Please be aware also that this particular site is situated next to a fun-fair and amusement arcade with constant music from approx 11 am to 6:30 pm.

Noted last review of the site by messrs Palmer. Ladies showers have been totally up dated with new showers and tiles, very cleanly kept, was advised that men's showers to be refurbished end of 2005 season.

Well, I missed out on joining friends at campsite May 05 as the chain came off my bike. However they report back that the place was friendly and well run. Downside was the grotty 'flats' in the middle of the site - I think this ruined the atmosphere. No problems from the funfair reported & canoe trips were a very enjoyable bonus of the site.

We visited as a family in June 2006 - in fantastic weather. The site was very friendly with someone on hand throughout the day (manning the canoe centre). The site facilities were basic compared with some other sites we have been to, but were (as far as ladies concerned) clean with working showers and loos, loads of hot water - washing up facilities. The adjacent fairground is noisy during the day, but we are out and about and the kids loved it. It was all nice and quiet after 6.30 well before small folks bedtime. I would definitely go again - but my hubby thought it was a bit too basic. - also it is quite a small site and seems to favour caravans.
