This very large site is set about 400 yards back from the beach with a good swimming pool / outdoor water park complex which kept the kids happy. The park is dominated by mobile homes and tour operator tents with relatively few pitches for independent campers and I would suggest that if do you visit this site being as specific as possible when booking about whether you want a shady / sunny spot or a quieter pitch etc. Our pitch was level and of reasonable size without being overgenerous. Shade wasn't an issue as it rained every day but one!

On the toilet block front, the one nearest to us was of a 'portakabin' type which whilst kept very clean was a little too cramped and busy in late August. The main block was quite a walk and had a mix of 'normal' and 'flush and rush' toilets! Here there were also good washing up facilities and plenty of sinks in cabins. There is a shop on site which sells the basics - provided you remember that it shuts between 1 and 4pm, but supermarkets are only 10 minutes drive away in Fouesnant. The seaside town of Benodet is probably the best place to visit for your evening meal with a range of good beach and riverside restaurants to suit all pockets. In summary, a good site if you want a family beach / pool holiday, just beware the variability of Brittany weather!!

Absolutely love this site. Have been twice now, and found the staff all very helpful, friendly and pleased to take part in our pidgin French attempts at conversation.

The pool is immaculate, the toilet blocks a little dated, but immaculately cleaned at least twice a day. The shop is great, even though the opening times are a little short. But the way we looked at it, between 12.30 and 5 you want to sleep and relax, not go shopping!!!!

The children’s' play area is fab, there are lots of good walks around the place, even on the rainy days, a walk on the beach, through the woods, followed by a good strong hot coffee in the bar is just what you need. It's a really friendly little area, and we'll certainly return again.

We had a great time both times we went to this site. Have been very spoilt as a result!

We found this to be a very good campsite, staff very friendly, washblock very clean, games for children and super tennis, basketball and pingpong, direct access to the beach much appreciated.

On the other hand, what really shocked me was the number of careless untidy people eating ice creams and sandwiches around the pool, even bringing their sugary drinks to their sunbeds, which really attracted the wasps. We opted for the beach...

That aside, good campsite. The proof is that we wanted to return this year, but it’s full!

We have just returned having stayed in a Eurocamp mobile for a fortnight. Our pitch was small - we had to park our car at the main carpark (and this is fairly common). Not a great problem for us, but if you had toddlers and all their stuff in tow it might be. (Definitely not the "tend to be medium" pitches of the brochure.)

The swimming pool complex was excellent, with a real swimming area, but the water was cold.

The site is large, but doesn't feel so because of the dividing hedges everywhere, and it is very quiet. However, there only seemed to be one proper wash block so people in tents could end up walking a fair way.

The bar was rather disappointing and the games room was literally a couple of machines in a lock-up garage - which was frequently locked! Not good with a 14 year old son. As for the "salle d'animation" - this looked like something from a holiday camp circa 1950! Generally, the site seemed to lack atmosphere in the evenings, and there was no-where for the older youngsters to "hang out".

Having said that, the setting is beautiful and the beach superb - about a 10 minute easy, pretty walk from the centre of the camp. There are also plenty of places to visit nearby.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

Very bad experience in July 2007

Outside pool was freezing. Shower in the mobile home malfunctioning throughout the fortnight - it continually changed from freezing to boiling - no good at all, no to mention dangerous, for the children.

Staff tried to stay smiling, but really incompetent! They didn’t even know where the 14th of July fireworks would take place, didn’t know how to make the clothes dryers work (and you need them at times in Brittany!) Limited information on activities and entertainment.

The cakes and bread sold in the mini-market in the morning were not at all good.

A single baby area, with baby bath.

And I’m sure that I forget some things, as this was 8 months ago, but I was disappointed in view of the star rating!
