We have visited this site twice. The last time was in May, 2002, so although we found nothing to complain about, in fact, we loved it, I do accept that things could have changed in the meantime. We thought that the site was beautifully situated, having lovely clifftop walks, and it was nice to see people with dogs adhering to the rules and only exercising them in the designated dog-walking area. This isn't always the case on some sites. The toilet and shower block were ok, but could have been a little cleaner. However, I was in there several times when families with children were in occupation, and some of them could have benefited from lessons in hygiene, so it isn't always the fault of the site authorities. We will definitely go back there again sometime in the near future.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

I was a seasonal on this site. I wrote to Mr Paul Timewell to complain about the site, how we had to put up with the gypsies and all the trouble they caused us, and how Richard the manager did nothing to help, but as yet Mr Paul Timewell has not even bothered to answer my letter - that is how much they care about their campers and seasonals. The site was dirty, unkept grass, and several rallies cancelled. A few regulars are not going back. New arrivals were pitching caravans, tents, etc on grass that had started to rot and go very smelly. For the price you have to pay, at least you should be able to expect a clean and tidy site. [In the interests of balance, this is but one opinion. You can read several more reviews at UK Camp Site]

September 2005 visit proved to be highly successful. A very good situation on cliff top with wonderful views - no immediate access to the sea there but at West Runton there is access. Excellent walks in the immediate vicinity especially those around Incleborough Hill. A marvellous dog walking exercise area thoughtfully located away from the children’s play area. All facilities in very good clean condition any mess we found was because people do not know how to clean up after themselves. Very quiet of an evening. Office staff and warden extremely helpful as we had a disabled person visiting most days and they said the toilet facilities were good and adequate for them. One of the staff even came to our rescue far beyond what was required to help us. All in all a very well placed site certainly the best situated in the area. If we go back to Cromer Woodhill Park is where we would stay.

Have just returned home after staying on Woodhill for two nights (Friday and Saturday night). The site was well placed for site seeing. The pitch was a fair size and toilets were well located. The major downside of our stay was the mountains of grass cutting that seemed to glue themselves to us and all of our equipment. I understand that grass does need cutting but surely an investment in a grass cuttings collection machine would be worthwhile. I now have the challenge of cleaning up my tent and all the equipment to de-grass it. A needless job if more care had been taken when cutting the grass. The toilet floor was also covered in grass cuttings.
