Author: Heidi Lewis Last Visit: March 2005

This was our first camping experience along with our 2 children ( 7 & 8 year olds) and the family dog. We found the staff very helpful, the toilets and showers lovely and clean and lots of hot water although only 2 showers for the ladies and 2 for the men although their are plans to build new shower blocks and disabled bathroom behind the shop and reception so please check.

The small site shop was very well equipped for camping needs and basic shopping. As it was fairly quiet we could pitch anywhere. The views across the bay from nearly all of the site were lovely although some of the camping fields from pitches 30 or higher were quite a distance away from the toilets if you have a young family that may need to use them during the night we had pitch 28 which was perfect.

The site was quiet as there was no clubhouse, which suited our needs although they have a TV lounge which the children made use of on one of the cold mornings. We will most definitely return to this site. The only downside that we can found is that the track from the main road down to the site is very narrow and although there are some passing places it can be difficult to find a passing place if you meet a caravan coming the opposite way.
