Woodlands, In a word quite a haven of peace on a busy bank holiday break. As you approach via Bracelands Drive the first thing you see is the shop and reception all situated at the entrance to Christchurch, this is one of three sites all on the same downhill road served by reception, next is Woodland again on the left and further down the track until you reach the bottom is Bracelands on the left. All three sites are Forestry Commission and all differ.

Woodlands has only 90 pitches, Caravan & Motorhomes. Premium pitches with electric, drinking water and chemical disposal points. Dogs welcome. Each unit must have its own toilet facilities, as there are none on Woodland. TV reception is fair to good. There was evidence of improvements in progress, new taps and hopefully replacement trap door on waste point. The space between pitches was very good indeed and the only sounds were of Bird Song. A walk through the gate into Christchurch found a very good children’s playground and very clean and well maintained toilet and shower blocks if you need them.

Great walks all round and the superb Wye Valley and Symonds Yat just a few minutes by car, good friendly staff, very good shop, book for electric hook-ups at busy times. Would stay again
