Stayed there this year a good site, the staff there are very helpful and speak good English, cant say there is a lot to do in St Valéry itself though, not many bar type places mainly restaurants doing shellfish dishes.

We (us being 2 adults 4 children and friends 2 adults 2 children) stayed in a supertent (Keycamp). We arrived early as our ferry was early morning, our tent wasn't ready til 3 though and had to hang around but we had been warned of this before hand. Quite a large site with tents and touring caravans being nearer to the facilities than the mobile homes, we soon got used to men and women sharing the shower/toilets even though they are supposed to be mens and ladies separately. 3 pools, the small toddlers paddling pool was heated the others were quite chilly. A restaurant and takeaway on site with pony trekking, bike (and 4 seater bikes) for hire, evening entertainment in the cinema bar or a quiet drink in the chateau bar (with a tv room next door for the kids) plus a golf bar for the teenagers to hang out in. Nearby there are lots of seaside places to see, my favourite being St Valery itself, we had a ride along the coast on a steam train, had chocolate crepes made on the street, wandered round the old medieval town. Beautiful. We went to Disneyland one day however a bit of a trek in the car (3 hrs) but to get on a train it is 3 changes and rather expensive. We would definitely go again, maybe en route to somewhere further into France, this was our first trip to France and my husband found the driving fine and quickly got the hang of the other side.

Big campsite with (small) covered pool. Nice restaurant with a sort of pub in the castle. Plenty of good toilet facilities. Though we were there in the low-season, it was quite busy. Particularly many English, because the campsite is close to the Channel Tunnel.

We stopped here last year for four days at the end of our two week rain soaked holiday. We had a great time, went on bike ride in town, used the pool, and we are planning to end this year’s holiday there. A lot of the children’s activities don’t start until July so not a lot for kids.
