Stayed at this campsite 6-9th June 2009!!
Site has recently been taken over by new owners.
The owners were very friendly and helpful!
They informed us that as they have just taken over the facilities were slightly basic but they would be improving on the off season.
Although basic, they kept all facilities very clean! Yes it is 20p for a shower but the water is hot and the water for washing your pots again 20p but got plenty of boiling water.
The campsite is a 5 minute walk in to the beautiful village and only a 5 minute drive from swallow falls and the ugli house.
The view is amazing! There is a fair bit of space and the area is kept very clean.
As an avid camper, who camps around Britain every three weeks, I was quite impressed by this site and will be very much looking forward to going back in June next year!!!

Campsite situated just outside Betwys y Coed but only a short walk in, facilities okay but shower and toilet floor very slippy and in need of modernisation, someone put there tent up so close to ours that we nearly joined them for breakfast!!! Site okay for a short stay, would not want to stay there for longer! Site wardens very friendly, but still unsure about their under occupancy charge, we paid the same in our 4 man tent as someone in an eight!!

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

Very expensive for what it is, below even basic standards. The owners, although very friendly, haven't updated over the low season. Not impressed with having to pay for showers and hand washing water, which only lasts a few minutes, on top of a heavy tariff (shocking). Will NOT be going back again. As avid campers we know when we are being ripped off. Stayed for two nights and had to contend with noisy, boozy campers on both nights. Having said that, Betws is beautiful but drive on and don't let your stay be spoilt by greed.

We arrived here in the middle of the friday night and was greeted by the owner straight away who was very friendly, met the owners wife the next day who was very friendly and gave us some ideas of what to see in the area etc which was very helpful.
They have cracked down on noisy campers so was really nice and quiet, yes you do have to pay for the showers etc but so what, what is 20p.
If you love the hills, the sound of birds and lambs in the morning but still only five minuts from Betwys centre then this is the place for you.
In short.....Loved it and will return soon

I have been to stay at this campsite four times now. Perhaps it's because I'm from Ireland but I don't think £7 is a lot to pay for a pitch. Toilet and showers are terribly basic but they are kept very clean and the paper towels are a big plus. While they have not as yet done any upgrade work they now stay on site at weekends which hopefully will keep noisy campers in check. I had a horrendous night there last April when four spaced out young men spent the night roaring and fighting and lighting fires. Still it is beautifully situated and close to the village. When I go back to the area I will probably stay there again.
