Excellent site with very good facilities, is well run and user friendly, though quite expensive and pitches can be tight. I've been twice, enjoyed my stay on both occasions and hope to be back. Booking is essential. The site also has shop, restaurant, and a lake for swimming and children's inflatables. The views are fantastic, the nearby villages of Natters and Mutters are quiet traditional alpine hamlets. During the summer there is the possibility of taking part in karaoke on site or possibly enjoying live traditional music at a small out door theatre in Mutters. Innsbruck- about 5 miles away - is a popular place for those wishing to delve into things historic and the mountains which offer solitude can be accessed via some local cable car lifts. The site is just off the main road to Italy via the Brenner Pass and is open to the hardy variety of caravanner who may wish to participate in some winter sport. The Swarovski factory is on the far side of Innsbruck

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

5 star campsite, fairly expensive, on the edge of a pond of brown water, around which pile up dozens of people. The pitches are on top of each other, very noisy, it’s like a factory! What’s more, you can hardly see the mountains. Very disappointed. For the same price, we would advise going into the little villages around (eg Mutters), where you will easily find a guest house, which will have the advantage of being in the village, and in contact with Austrians.

The site was hugely crowded when we arrived, and pitches are small. However, the rain arrived with us, and pitches started to empty, making the site much more pleasant. The sanitation facilities are good, and clean. The showers were some of the best we have experienced! Restaurant good, but busy. don't expect your food to all arrive at the same time! There is a nice restaurant in Natters village - good quality and a little cheaper. Would recommend the trip to the 'top of the Tyrol'. Good value, and coffee and strudel were included in the price. Be prepared for deep snow, though - we found nordic walking sticks invaluable for the older (well - mid forties) members of our party! We did not try the 'muddy puddle'. It really is very murky, and the fish in there were huge!! Apparently it is quite warm.
