This site was excellent, we have stayed on loads of English caravan parks but this was our first time self-catering in another country and we were very pleasantly surprised. We drove from Calais and that was not as bad as I expected although it took over 9 hours with only a couple of short breaks.

Our caravan was huge we have 7 year old twin boys and a 13 year old girl so we had asked for a 3 bed roomed caravan and the one we got was like a house it had separate shower and wc a small kitchen a large living space with seats that convert to beds and a dining table and chairs. It was very clean and all the carpets and upholstery was in mint condition. We had a large space outside with garden furniture and a BBQ.

The site was quite busy but it was still very clean and well looked after. The pools are big and have a 4-lane waterslide. The boys loved the kids club but our daughter thought it was too childish for her. The supermarket on site was better than most of the camp shops we've seen in the UK but it was still cheaper to go to town and get a weeks shopping.

The takeaway had nice food and was reasonable but the pizzeria was very disappointing the pizzas were really thin and crunchy like a biscuit. The bar was friendly and good for kids.

The staff were friendly and very helpful although we didn't see much of Rory the tiger apart from the shows in the evening.

The nearby town Cap d’Agde is nice although not the cheapest for shopping. The beach is a short walk and is lovely. We spent most of our time on the site or the beach so we didn't see as much of the local area as we would have liked but there was loads of stuff to do. We wanted to hire bikes but thought our boys were a bit young to go out on the roads.

I would recommend this park but I would say that if you have hay fever then the end of May might not be a good time to go and I think it will be very hot later in the year.

I will certainly be going on a haven holiday again next year I thinking of Brittany to cut down on the driving if anyone has been to a haven in Brittany I would appreciate a quick email to let me know what it was like: suecurren@hotmail.com.

Ok that's all from me have a nice trip wherever you decide to go

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

I had visited this site in 2003.

Remarkable deterioration since my first visit in 1998. Toilet blocks should have been renovated. Pool extremely cold. Planting not cared for, plants not being watered.

I have been there twice in the last year; once at Easter and then again in the summer, and wow can’t wait to go back asap. I loved every little thing about the parc and its surroundings; the people, the scenery, the beaches and the heat. It was warm at Easter but in the summer wow it actually got to 40 which was amazing but soo warm. I love the place and can give nothing but positive reviews about it.

GO THERE !!!!!!

There’s only one thing that interests then, and that’s money.

Hello,

Holidays in July/August 2007 at La Carabasse.

Pleasant village, and relaxing, except that the pool is cold. The beach is rather distant. Paid extra for football training, conducted by two Englishmen, who spoke not a word of French. Lack of empathy, and favouritism towards the English. The training was a mixture of all ages, leading to freezing out of the smaller French lads, combined with the favouritism.

Dreadful. At €1500 for a week, that’s €3000 for the fortnight, it’s lamentable. When we arrived, the mobile home was not ready, back at 6pm, the cleaning had not been done, the hired cot was defective, the mobile home was old, and hardly got any sun all day, with 2 sunshades (but we couldn’t eat on the patio), pool was cold, and the sea a long way away. They want to play at "club med", but this is the "Flots Bleues" campsite (for anyone that’s seen this French film).

The kids club happens mid-morning and mid-afternoon, so if you’d thought of going to the beach, think again.

Great favouritism for the English [the writer is French]: some activity leaders do not speak a word of French - we are in France you know!

Summary: useless. Above all, do not go here!
