There are 4 campsites in Woolacombe, owned by the Woolacombe Bay company. The one I stayed at is called Woolacombe Bay Holiday Village. Woolacombe Bay Holiday Village had good facilities for camping incl. free Sauna and steam room in the toilet block and spotlessly clean toilets. Showers varied from ok to scalding hot and cold though! Shop stocked most things, but very 'no frills'. The restaurant food was overcharged bad school dinners and the club house was straight out of phoenix nights. The beach is a 10 min car ride or a mile walk down a steepish lane. Brilliant views of the beach from the campsite. Staff friendly.

Just came back from Woolacombe Holday Parc today. Had a wonderful week: weather hot, parc lovely. My husband and little girl loved it. I went there when I was a little girl, still love it today. The onsite restaurant was shit, go to the Golden Coast or the Old Mill, good for the money. Also go to the Waves ceramic studio that’s a good afternoon. Going back again next holiday. Love it. Beaches outstanding.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

Just come back from Woolacombe Bay and we thought our stay was satisfactory (nothing great.) When we got there we went to the Old Mill because the key wasn’t ready. We went back later and friendly staff directed us to where we needed to be. (We were not looking forward to finding our accommodation as we had seen the others, which looked a total MESS!) We found our place and it looked half decent. When we walked in it looked massive, mom and dads room was average (what you would usually get in a caravan) me and my brother shared a room which was massive with 4 beds.(we stuck em together to make 2 double beds.) the dinning area was massive. This was joined with a tiny kitchen with hardly any pots, pans and shelves to top it all the cutlery was dirty with dried on food. The forks were bent and just everything was dirty. Outside there was no lighting for when we come back from the club. The3 club was all right I guess more for little kids. The arcades were rubbish, the pool looked kinda borin. The outside pool wasn’t opened obviously cause it was so cold. The parks were all right. When we went to the other parks they looked kinda rubbish except for Twitchen park. The shop was ok. The beach is only a short drive away and was a nice one. There is a bus service to the other 3 holiday parks and then the beach. The busses are old and smell a bit. (When we drove out of our holiday park the bus had a umbrella over the front seats.) I don’t think we would stay there again if we went down that way again I think we would stay at previous holiday parks there or try Twitchen. I guess it was better that going nowhere!

Hi

I have 2 children 4 and 7 plus a couple of foster children

we have been to this park 3 times and we love it. We have camped and stopped in a caravan, yes the food on site is not very good but you can cook your own on a BBQ.

We are going again in a couple of weeks and are really looking forward to it. I have to mention the entertainment at night we thought it was great.

We have stopped at many parks and we would give it 9 out of 10

Hope this is of use have a nice holiday

We stayed at Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park in an Estoril caravan as we have a dog and these are the only dog friendly caravans they have. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised at the accommodation (at a lot of places dog friendly means you have the worst accommodation and they don't bother to clean it!), but our caravan was fine. The carpets were a bit worn but generally clean as were the bedrooms. The bathroom was a bit pokey, but it is a 2 bed static after all, so we weren't expecting the ritz! The kitchen was decent enough, although there was no microwave upon arrival so we reported this to reception and they sent one round the following morning without question.

We tried the takeaway on site on the first night and had fish & chips which were really nice, freshly cooked and still very hot by the time we got back to the van, the only negative about the takeaway is the price, but it's a captive market. We also tried the restaurant once during our stay and the food was ok, not outstanding but certainly not rubbish.

The on-site shop is open from 8am till 8pm and is well stocked and the staff are very friendly.

The views of Woolacombe bay from this site are breathtaking.

We didn't use the bus to the beach as we had a car.

Overall I would highly recommend Woolacombe Bay Holiday Park.
