Just returned from Henllys (26th July 09). A very large camping & touring caravan park. The toilets, showers and laundry were kept immaculate by a very nice lady, but she really did earn her wages,--- very late at night & early morning what a disgrace the toilets were!!! --- some people are disgusting !!!

Henlly's can't be blamed for their behaviour. --- Considering this is a family site, the noise level late at night was NOT acceptable. If this is the result of the credit crunch that more people are trying this type of holiday ( the site was fully booked ) we would only return to Henlly's Monday to Thursday. Security patrol is at weekends only, which I'm sorry to say, it is needed.

Not a site for a quiet holiday but great for a mad few days. --- Pubs, amusements, shops, takeaways, fairground and the sea are all in walking distance. -- There is a small play area for the little ones, but the older ones struggled as the field that they are allowed to play football on (even though the ball has to be kept on the ground!) was full with the touring caravans.

Henllys is our favourite site to visit in Towyn. The site itself is huge with a large tent field to the rear. In peak times there is a security guard on site. The pitches are firm and level and the ground firm but soft enough to tap the pegs in easily. There is no need to book here as it's run on a first come first served basis. The toilets and free showers are modern and cleaned often throughout the day. Mr and Mrs Kerfoot who own the site are both friendly and approachable. There is a small play area for children and seemed to be popular with them. There is no entertainment on site but a ten minute walk into Towyn itself provides you with pubs clubs bars shops funfair and just about everything else you would want from a seaside holiday. A great site all round.

Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

I would agree whole heartedly with Frances (above) and also add that this campsite claims to be a family only site, but at the weekend there were several male only tents, and they were not family members. Four of these who came on the Friday, for the weekend thought it clever to get completely stoned and play football over our tent at 11'oclock at night, then after i asked them to stop got threatening and foul mouthed. My wife who was very upset at this asked if we could go home, so at 4am we were on our way home (even though we had paid until the Monday). Never again will I stay at this campsite even though Mon to Thurs had been fine.

My wife and myself stopped on Henllys Farm from the 4/7/10 to 7/7/10. We found the toilet and shower facilities very well maintained and spotlessly clean, these are worth 10/:10. Our main problem was whilst we were there, it was windy, and in the tent field there is no shelter whatsoever from the wind and rain. It is just an open field totally exposed to the elements, although the wind was quite brisk, but nothing excessive, it blew across the field like a gale. The field is flat, making it comfortable for pitching of tents, and day to day camping. I would not recommend staying on this site in extreme winds. Other plus points are that many facilities i.e, family friendly pubs (many with entertainment), shops and take-aways are within a few minutes walk. The closest being just outside the gates. There was no security guard presence during our stay. Overall I would say 6.5:10

Stopped for two nights and never again. Family site that let single sex groups in, rules up saying no ball games and no bicycles. But yet nearly got hit twice by kids on bicycles and car was hit by football more than once even after having ago at the families involved. Cars speed on and off at all hours which felt very unsafe when your in a tent. Loud music till early hours both nights and people shouting at early hours of morning.

Yes it maybe a family site but its doesn't mean you have to have no manners, and why have rules if you DO NOT enforce them.

Ruined our holiday never this campsite again and recommend that no one else with manners or hearing visit this place.
