Nicely placed, right next to Hawkshead Village, choice of four pubs and Late Shop (Co-op). Good camping ground, friendly staff. Just two downers, the showers: Coin operated 20p for 4 minutes, the machines all together on the wall outside one of the cubicles. There is a fold down chair behind the door on the wall in the shower cubicle for clothes etc. You have two choices. Downer no.1 1. You put your money in the 20p slot and waste hot shower water time walking back to your cubical, getting undressed and putting your stuff on the chair, or 2. You undress, hang your stuff up on the back of the door, don't use the fold down chair (because you have to fold it up to get out of the door) rush to the coin machine in your towel and rush back because the water comes on as soon as your coin is put in. Downer no.2 I went in the shower block to use the loo and shower at different times during the weekend and the floors were dirty with grass and mud, including the shower cubicles' and there was no mop and bucket for you to wash the floor with before you used the shower.
