Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

We hired a mobile home in July 2009. It’s true the campsite is nice, but the management!!!!!! Help! Not at all pleasant, only barely polite, and what’s more the manager’s daughter insults the clients and takes it upon herself to let down the inflatable in the pool on top of children of 4 years old, risking suffocation! But as she herself says, I’m the owner’s daughter, so I can do what I want. Also, the youth on duty at the pool, you never get a hello out of him, he’ll watch your children falling and leave them on the ground without even moving!!!! A disgrace. As for entertainment, they take you for idiots with their Harlequin show. Otherwise, the staff (excluding the management) are really friendly and always smiling, thank heavens.

I’ve just returned from a fortnight’s stay, and I’m not about to return there. The campsite itself is fine, pool is very good, entertainment good, but the mobile home I hired was a disgrace. We hired a mobile home for 4 people. Happily, two of us were very small children, as the accommodation was very small. On the Web, they certainly know how to make the most of their accommodation, but in reality it’s not the tops. We had to put something behind the doors to keep them open. The mobile home was not up to standard. Cleaning had not been done, but that didn’t stop them taking ¤50 off us for not having done it on departure. But the worst was the hot water. You don’t get hot water when the pool is being cleaned, which is great when you start showering and find you have to finish with cold water. The response we got was “that’s to be expected, the pool is on the same supply as the rest of the site, so we lack pressure”. The staff member told us it was good though, to have a big pool. I don’t find this satisfactory, given the high price of nearly ¤1400 for 2 weeks. This site is not to be recommended to your friends.

All the reviews I have read are really pessimistic and unconstructive!! It really isn’t necessary to exaggerate like that. I just spent a week in one of their mobile homes, and we were delighted! The staff is very friendly, and the activity leaders are super. The atmosphere is excellent, and the site is peaceful!!! You can sleep in peace. I did not see any evening you had to pay for. The pool is brilliant, for kids as well as adults. We didn’t catch any illness(!!) The mobile home was very clean on arrival, and they certainly did not do a minute inspection when we left. Everything went very well, and I heartily recommend the Beauséjour. You are, what’s more, only 300m from the beach, and not far from the Avenue des Pins, great for shopping. I repeat: we had a super holiday, and we would have loved to stay another week. If we had the chance, we’d return without hesitation.

Hello. I'm a 13-year-old. I found that they did nothing to improve our stay. We left after 2 days, and I came back with an ear infection, thanks to the swimming pool (a staphylococcus). I hope you don't go there, as you'll be assured of a bad holiday.

This camping is a swindle. They attract people with low prices for caravan hire in early July, as when you arrive, you find the caravans are still dirty from the previous season and from the whole winter that they have spent outside.
It's your job to clean them. They are full of spiders' webs, dust, little piles of wood made by the ants! Take the bleach if you go there. What's more, the owners care little, they'll tell you that if you're not happy, all you need do is leave. They know that people that have just travelled 600 miles with children have a knife at their throat, and have no other choice but to stay. They insist that the cleaning has been done, but it's not true!
On the other hand, they bug you on the day you leave, coming to spend an hour inspecting every little detail of the caravan, checking under the beds to make sure there's not a stray hair you've missed! So it's you that are doing the cleaning for those who come next, and who pay twice what you did, as I'm sure there are no employees to clean the caravans.
For them, you're only a second class citizen. What counts for them are the mobile homes, as they bring in more cash.
And there's much more I could say.................…

At the Beauséjour campsite, you are not welcomed with a bottle or a glass of cold water like you are in many other campsites, but by a dreadful noise due to cramming in, much too tightly, mobile homes and caravans. Accommodation is dirty, the insincere management would rather you left than come and tell them what the holidaymakers think. You feel unwelcome. A glass of tapwater, requested by a child, cost him €0.10, the evening activities are pretty well all at extra cost, and not cheap at €10 for an adult, and they take place in a very small room, for though we didn't know before we arrived, the site is hemmed in behind buildings, so there is no outside entertainment in the evening. No aqua-gym, even though it was advertised, the games room for children was closed in the middle of July. No trees, shade optional, it's essential to leave space for piling up mobile homes and caravans. The circus that the management installed beneath the windows of the caravan, with the sounds and smells you can only imagine during the heatwave, on account of which, as if by chance, my friend's son acquired an animal ringworm. This friend, having hired the mobile home with here husband and 3 children, found herself without electricity for 3 days, and without a fridge for 2 days. The management had nothing better to say than that there was no other solution. We stayed in this joke of a campsite for two and a half days. After 1000km of travel, my friend did not have the chance to leave so soon, and her stay was terrible. I was able to get a refund for one week's hire, as they re-let my caravan when we left. But I have just been to their website, and nothing has changed since last year, not even the number of stars. One can imagine the number of people that are going to be swindled (the word is appropriate).

The management of this site must be the same as it was ten years ago. I camped here about 10 years ago, and we had a pitch near to the toilet block, which was undergoing some work. Out canvas was stained by the cement dust that was all over the pitch.
We therefore decided to leave, and they made us pay for the electricity, that we hadn't used as our tent does not have any sockets!
