We are very happy with the service given by Yelloh villages, and for several years have made reservations only at these sites. Except this year we are very disappointed, and consider ourselves to have been wronged. The campsite d’Arnauteille is not worthy of featuring in your list of sites (ie Yelloh’s list) because it does not meet your commitments. Indeed, at this campsite, there are absolutely no activities, contrary to what is shown in the catalogue. The only activity at this site is the restaurant, which holds one themed evening and one dance evening up till midnight, when the campsite manager comes to ask the restaurant manager to stop! What’s more, the restauranteur is going to quit, because he does not get on with the campsite manager. We think the latter should really be managing a retirement home, but then, we have a retirement home near us that has many more activities. What’s more, this campsite is equipped with a sports complex! Forget it: it’s actually a football pitch, situated below the toilet block, where there is the smell of excrement. It’s not surprising, when the outfall from the toilets is just below the football pitch, in the open air. We have two boys of 8 and 12, fortunately, because if we had had girls, they would have spent the fortnight totally bored. There is only the chance of playing table tennis or football, and nothing else. There is an activity leader, but she has no activities and no one to lead. In fact, the only activities at the campsite are the tastings of wine produced by the growers that are friends of the campsite manager - he must have shares! We consider ourselves to be the victims of deceitful publicity, and we will only promote this campsite to people we don’t like! We’re telling you all this so that there will not be further victims, and we know that others who were there with us will also send you their comments. We will finish by saying that we will be going on holiday again in 2008, and we will pay close attention to book into a campsite which really deserves its 4 stars, unlike le Camping d’Arnauteille.
