Loved the area, but the site was disappointing. Admittedly it was late in the season, but the showers were cold, the toilets nearly always filthy, too little cleaning in the toilet/shower blocks. Both outdoor and indoor pools were cold. Little or no entertainment at nights. On site shop poor, except for bread. Restaurant and take-away not very welcoming. Site nearly empty of caravans and tents by the time we left on 05/09/06.

We stayed at this site at the end of July 07. We were generally pleased with it, although others around us were not. The toilets were always clean, and we never queued. The small child’s bath was very helpful for our 18 month old. The outdoor pools were cold, but the indoor one was heated. The reception staff were not the most helpful but did finally help us with some noisy British neighbours (we too are Brits!). We were also at the back of the site and had no issues with the traffic, although we could hear it a little. We were disappointed with the distance to La Tranche but had a car, so it wasn't really a problem.

Agree to a point with the review by Colin Evans. The toilet block is still the issue, no toilet seats, poor standard of cleanliness and cold showers no matter what time of day you try. The shop was adequate in our opinion and the two small supermarkets close by catered for the wider needs. The entertainment was amateurish, but there being no toilet facility in the bar building meant you didn't stay long anyway, unless you didn't mind the 5 minute walk to the aforementioned toilet block when the need arose. Take away was OK and pool was OK for us. Bit disappointed that it is sited 1mile away from centre - LA GRIERE but a further 1.5 miles away from LA TRANCHE - bikes essential for Griere but car for Tranche.

Not at all like we expected after camping in France for many years. Statics seem to have taken over. We stayed in a Keycamp tent (only 3 tents) at the very end of the site. A muddy ditch at the back of the tent fortunately no mossies. Lots of traffic noise at night from the speeding cars on the main road. A long walk to the toilet block which was always smelly due to the chemical toilets being emptied inside. Walking through unlit passage ways to go to the loo no fun in the rain. Toilet block surrounded by statics who have loos. Pool very cold quite empty when we where there. Very narrow road inside site with a few blind bends beware of high speed young kids on bikes, a few near misses. Lovely beaches around so we didn't need to stay on the site in the day.
