We were on this site in August 2004. It is a really good site with everything you could want on a campsite. However we had our own caravan with us and we were not impressed with the pitch that we were given; it was in a very shaded wooded area and very uneven. Despite booking months in advance and requesting a sunny pitch it did not happen, but we were only there for a week so we put up with it. The other thing of course is that the place is in the middle of nowhere so to go anywhere involves more driving. Having said all that I would still go back now I know where the good pitches are.

We have spent the last 5 years holidaying in France and have finally found the perfect camp site. From your first contact with Herve, the friendly owner until the moment we arrived into this very well kept and impressive site you had a good feeling. We were not disappointed.

We rented a 3 roomed mobile home direct from the owners. These were situated in beautiful wooded pitches between the main campsite and the lake.

The pool area was top class and our kids (11,9,4) had hours of fun on the fantastic waterslides. A bit on the chilly side some days.

The site had a good mix of Dutch/French and some Irish.

The bar area was big and new with a big outside area where it was pleasant to have a drink in the evening. (Oh for an efficient barman, on any french camp site) The entertainment was a bit French and got a bit noisy for me later on but the kids enjoyed it. There were plenty of teenagers on site who seemed to be having a ball but they had the space so as not to be imposing on anyone with younger families.

The thing that won me over most was the lake and beach. On a hot day lying on your own private beach 50 meters from your mobile along side the lake was brilliant. All the kids had inflatable dingys and there was a diving platform in the middle of the lake. Do not let the green colour of the water put you off swimming. We stayed out for day but after that took the plunge.

The covered pool overlooking the lake is ideal for an early morning swim.

The site restaurant is quite good and pleasant to eat in. The Auberge in St Catherine 1 mile from the site is wonderful whether you eat outside in the tranquil village square or upstairs in the beautiful dining room.

We will be back for certain.

Fantastic site for a family of all ages. Very clean, large pitches and a fabulous restaurant 1km in St Catherine. Plenty for kids especially the tree top adventure park situated in the campsite. Would highly recommend it!
