Having read previous good reviews for this site we decided to try it for a week. This was a big mistake. In three days the site flooded and remained flooded despite dry days and wet nights. Our tent was surrounded by water and the pitches that were close to the road through the park became unusable. This in turn became mud and unfortunately did not dry up. We left after 3 days as my 3 children could not use the playarea because it was a bog and we ran out of clean clothes (We packed more than enough for a week). Furthermore the site owners were very unhelpful and did not seem concerned. It is also worth noting that during our three-day stay at least 5 other caravans and tents left to go to other site in the area. Would we return? NEVER

Went to see Watermouth Cove for the day as I did 30 years ago with my mum and dad. Wanted to take my little girl back to see where I went when I was her age. Paid car park fee then a fat grey haired man came to me, very rude and said it was private so we could not go in. But took our money first then sent someone else to tell us to go. Beach dirty. Unless you are staying there don’t go. Pissed me off.

Stayed here for two weeks in august 08, yes it rained a lot and yes it had rained for the whole month leading up to our stay and the site was very wet, but we found the staff very helpful and friendly, the toilets and showers were very clean and were constantly cleaned as the day went on. The entertainment was pub style singers etc, the food in the pub was very good. The whole area is stunning, the caves and beaches were great. Watermouth is an excellent base for touring north Devon and despite the weather we had a great time, so much so we will be going back next year and hopefully we will see a bit more sun!
