This was the first and last time we'll visit Seaview Holiday Park. We arrived on site Thursday afternoon and called into reception to be greeted by a lady who's vocabulary did not include the word, "manners". Not even a, good afternoon welcome to ...... When asked to pay the balance I handed over my credit card only to be told there's a £5 fee of card transactions. I've never heard of this before and thought it was excessive so paid cash. She gave me our pitch number, then we drove round to the camping field to find two other tents next to our pitch whilst the rest of the field was empty. I went back to reception and asked if we can pitch further away and mentioned a pitch number. By her expression you'd think I'd requested her to donate an organ. She did change our pitch but not the one I asked for as this had been booked since Jan and they, "specifically requested that pitch as they visit every year". When I began to question this, she pointed to a sign the wording to witch basically said don't verbally abuse the staff.

Saturday morning around 10.30 I took my two kids 4 & 2 year old's to the indoor ball pool. This cost £1.50 per child per visit. Soon as they saw this they were in. The same lady appeared and told me the ball pool was closed and to leave. Whilst trying to retrieve my kids she piped up again insisting I leave immediately. What ever happened to good old customer care?

We left a day early but before so, met the people who visited every year. Turned out this was also their 1st visit and they didn't request any pitch.

Please don't let this put you off visiting Sennen Cove, it's an absolute gem, but save your money and stay somewhere else.

Oh, and The Beach restaurant in Sennen is highly recommended but book early.

This is a lovely site, completely ruined by the attitude of the owner. This large lady actually refused to give us her name, but I can only assume from the way she spoke to numerous guests, that she was indeed the owner. An employee would have been sacked I am sure. Our problems began almost immediately. We went into the clubhouse on Sunday afternoon and sat down in the widely advertised children's playarea. We had just eaten lunch and it was damp outside - the main reason for choosing this site with indoor facilities. We were immediately met with a request to purchase food or drinks or the facility was not free...I had not seen on the website or paperwork received from Seaview that there was any kind of charge - the site was a lot dearer that others we considered and so we assumed this was factored in. We were bluntly told that it was free after 5.30pm not before.

That evening our electric failed, and so did the electric of the other 3 people in our row and 10 static caravans. We had a tv and portable dvd player on at the time, the kids were asleep and candles. It can back briefly and was then off all night. On Sunday the same thing happened in the afternoon when we were out, and we came back to no electric and again in the night and again the following day. To cut a long story short, we - and the other 'campers' were told it was us overloading the site with domestic items "why you need all that when you are camping" was one quote! The 'lady' was totally unhelpful and only apportioning blame to us - all seasoned campers, who have never experienced the like! The couple next to us left on Tuesday and were only refunded their £3 a night even though they booked for 2 weeks. I have never been spoken to in such a rude and unhelpful manner in my life, and I recommend that despite the facilities you go elsewhere, there are lots of campsites around Sennen.

Recently visited this campsite and can only back up the views of the previous reviews.

Rude staff, prices too high to keep your children entertained, play equipment in the outdoor park dangerous (rusty screws and a drainhole covered with broken paving slab.)

Caravan was below a good standard, not properly cleaned. Carpets past their best.

Overall if you can find somewhere else to stay then don’t visit Seaview. It was the worst holiday we had.

I visited this site on one of their 'deals' in JULY 2008. At first glance the site appeared to be clean and tidy with a nice reception area - however this opinion was before we spoke to any of the staff - on arrival they make you feel as if you are getting on their nerves, they then demand a deposit off you and chuck the keys in your direction. We were then asked to sign a 'agreement' which basically requested any children not to be seen or heard and they may as well requested that no children go to the site. There is a nice looking children’s indoor ball area which is clean and tidy - the reason we learnt for this was that it was only open once in our whole weeks stay and to get in there we had to have dinner in the bar (which was cold). When we left the site we were informed that a cheque would be sent to our home address, which we still are yet to receive (September 2008)as they have now sent it twice to the wrong address.... Basically do not visit this site if you want a holiday with good facilities, a friendly welcome and nice accommodation. Sennen is one of the most beautiful parts of this country and a great place to visit however do not waste your money on this site when there are plenty more places in this beautiful part of Cornwall.

Have just arrived home after staying at this caravan site. My family and I have never stayed in such a dirty caravan in all my life; it was very disgusting. Amenities they advertise do not happen, we questioned why no entertainment and was told they cancelled as no one was interested, not surprised as staff was not very welcoming and was told customers get on their nerves. The caravan we stayed should have been scrapped. Would love to be able to show photos but I can’t. Hence we would not recommend this site to anyone.

We have recently returned from this site. I could not agree more with all the above reviews. We encountered the owner and her attitude can only be described as - Rude, arrogant and unprofessional. We were firstly given a hard standing too small for our motor home. Then we returned to the site late at night to find another van on the standing. We left the father and two young children where they were and camped without electric for the night. The next day before leaving we encountered the 'owner' again and asked for a refund for the night to be told 'your own fault, I told the man to move'. It was 10pm pouring rain and we are not into that kind of behaviour. All this apart and the laundry only available for use by paying campers between 3pm and 8pm and the dryers so cool it took £4 attempting to dry which I gave up at damp a single sheet - I would highly recommend all future campers heading to Sennon Cove to look elsewhere and give Seaview the widest berth you can. Even my toilet block key didn't work! Go to Sennon it is great but there are many many sites to choose from and this one is not worth the time.

I have just spent a week at Seaview. I visited this site after I had paid the balance for this holiday and I was very tempted to cancel after reading the reviews. So glad I did not as we had a fantastic time. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our caravan, although one of the oldest on site, was immaculate. The site is clean and well maintained. The bar is fresh, modern and very comfortable. Although our children are teenagers the younger children on site really appeared to enjoy themselves. Fantastic location with the beach being a twenty minute walk away. Will definitely return to this site.

Me, my husband and two kids have just visited Seaview campsite, and will not be returning ever again. The owners were ill mannered, and unhelpful, I booked a cot months ago, got to the grotty caravan no cot in sight. I spoke to owner, what a waste of time. Every facility was shut all week, no shop no bar not a thing. If there was a problem who would you turn to. The caravan was grubby and had mildew and mould, it had seen better days. I strongly advise anyone considering visiting this camp to think again.

Well, what can I say? Everyone’s views here are exactly true. I was there last week and my God I didn’t think anyone who worked with customers could be so rude. We arrived 2 hours early after a 8 hour drive, only to be told that to get in our static caravan we had to pay £10, I was also told I had to pay a security deposit of £20 but I didn’t have my cheque book. I paid by cash thinking that on check out they would check my van and I’d get my money back, but no, I had to wait and they’d send a cheque but failed to tell me they would charge £2.50 admin charge so that’s £12.50 they’ve had off me for nothing. The staff were rude when I called to question why they hadn’t sent me the full amount. When we arrived on the first day we were told the camp shop was shut this was 2 in the afternoon. If we wanted milk for our coffee we would have to go into the village to get some. We had to sign a piece of paper basically saying your children are not allowed anywhere without an adult. After that first encounter we didn’t bother trying any other facilities and certainly won’t be going there again. If the owner is very rude and has no manners, I don’t hold out much hope for the rest of the staff. As for Sennen Cove it was lovely. The shops and cafes in Sennen Cove were lovely people. I would certainly go there again just not stay at Seaview.
