Remember that people are always more prepared to write and complain than they are to praise good service.

According to the write up in the AA Camping and Caravan 2007 Guide this site has been awarded 3 pennants and a gold star David Bellamy Award. The site has very uneven roads and paths, very potholed. The clean and modern toilet blocks are not in a very hygienic state and one was out of action in the ladies block for most of the week, not very good as the site was choc a block and needed more facilities any way. The light above the washing up area was not working and people were having to use torches in order to see what they were doing once it got dusk. All of the weelie bins were full to over flowing and people were putting rubbish by the sides of them and on more than one occasion rats were seen around them. The fishing lakes were being used by people that had not got a current rod licence and the state of both lakes were disgusting with bags, tins and general rubbish left on and around the lakes with no-one bothering to clean up. The fish were treated very badly as a lot of these kids fishing had no hook disgorgers therefore there was a lot of fish with mashed up mouths and in some cases left to die in the sides of the banks. Needless to say I will not be revisiting this site again and do not recommend it to any one else!
