Author: Steve Kelly Last Visit: August 2007

Arrived at the site at the end of July 2007 with our touring caravan and stayed for two weeks. There are also static caravans which can be hired at the park as well as sites for pitching your own tents.

The site is tightly packed in places but I must say that our pitch was rather large, albeit under a very large tree. This proved to be a very convenient site for one night overnight stop for British visitors going back to the UK due to the close proximity to St. Malo.

The kids loved the pool area which, although a little on the small side for adults, has five slides and became very popular mid-afternoon. There is also a crazy golf course as well as a small play-swing area. A large field though allows the kids to play football, badminton etc. in complete safety.

The shower and toilet facilities were fine and there is also a small shop within the reception area. However there is a large supermarket close by from which you can buy all your supplies. Not the most salubrious site we have ever stayed on but a fairly decent one for our first caravan touring visit to France

The reception staff are friendly and very helpful indeed, although the reception can be under-staffed at times resulting in long unnecessary queues. All staff speak English but obviously it's appreciated if you do have a go speaking to them in what little French you may be able to muster.

It's a lovely area around St. Malo and a visit to the walled city is a must, especially at night. Although that said parking is a real problem in the centre of St. Malo. Mount St. Michelle is around an hours drive away is is a truly wonderful spectacle. Closer still are the delightful towns of Dinard and Dinan.

Access to the main arterial route at St. Malo off the site is via a VERY busy roundabout and if you have been driving in France before you'll know how hair-raising it can be on some roundabouts. Lane etiquette is somewhat missing at times and is often a free for all. Watch out also for the speed traps around St. Malo and make sure you stick to the speed limits.
